I have recently started doing tutorial videos on different watercooling related subjects. The videos are usually "how to install x" videos.
I will post them here and I hope to build a soild library for watercooling reference and information. Note: All of the vids can be watched in HD. Pumps Replacing a DDC Pump Top (EK X-Top) Replacing a Laing D5 Pump Top (EK X-Top D5) Shoggy Sandwich GPU Blocks Installing a Bitspower Black Freezer on a nVidia GeForce GTX 275 Installing an Aqua Computer aquagraFX on a nVidia GTX 295 Single PCB Installing a Waterblock on a GTX 285 (EK-FC285) Many thanks to Eddy from EK Waterblocks, who sponsored the block for this video. Mainboard Blocks ** RRTech does not endorse the use of FUFUFUFUFUFUFUFU products ** Installing Waterblocks on an Asus Rampage II Extreme (FUFUFUFUFUFUFUFU MB-ASR2E and MIPS Mosfet Freezers) Installing Waterblocks on an EVGA X58 Classified (Bitspower Black Freezer) Other Removing RAM Heatsinks and Installing Waterblocks Fittings 101 Alphacool Watercooling Kit Installation That's what I got so far. I have a few more watercooling related vids, but they're in German. Stay tuned for more videos. ![]() Also: Suggestions and feedback on the videos is always welcome. Cheers, Shane

Updated: Waterblocks on the Rampage II Extreme (Featuring Red's favorite brand
).Current goal: Cleaner pronounciations and less monotonous narration. Narration is more difficult than one might think, I had to discover...

spunlex: Since I think most people here won't be interested in the German videos, just check out my Youtube-Channel to see them.

Update: Waterblocks on EVGA Classified added to first post.
![]() I tried some new stuff and it's a bit rough around the edges, but that's just the way I make progress, I guess. Hope you enjoy the video.

Thanks.
I decided that I will make only one video per hardware component. i.e. only one type of block on any given mainboard or graphics card or whatever. The main reason for this is that these videos are a lot of effort to make and so I have to pace myself. The other reason is that the installation process is very similar for each block. The first half - removing the original heatsink - is always the same. The second half - installing the block - has only nuanced differences like spacers/no spacers or some block might use a thermal pad where another one uses thermal grease. Stuff like that. So the way I see it, you can use my GTX 285 video as an installation guide, even if your block is from Aqua Computer or Bitspower or whoever.

Oh no, is this going to degrade into a "who makes the better dick-pun" thread?
![]() For the record, the thing on my finger is one of those mini-grip bags that the screws and stuff come in.

Just watched all these vids for the first time. Excellent work, Shane. Your pronunciation doesn't need any improvement at all; you speak very clearly.
Addition of gloves is good. MJ reference was good. It conveys that despite being serious videos, you can still have a little fun with them. The AC 295 block is elegant, as I said before. My EK block instructions didn't say anything about applying TIM at the joint between the aluminum heatsink and the water block. Wish I'd known. |

My EK 3870 instructions said that. I think.
