Just trying to see what people think, and WHY... I've had black anodized, and loved it, but the wrinkle seems popular.

I vote Black Wrinkle... Ive owned the gloss black and hated it, as it showed everything and IMO starched easily...I do like the Red though it different.... |

I've always been a sucker for black-anodized brushed aluminum.

if you don't scratch anything and want shiny-mirror black is great (and even better after you put car wax on it and then some clear coat). scratches too easy otherwise.
i ordered a 10 slot tray from them just plain aluminum and they were out and bumped me up to black wrinkle and i love it. shinier than anodized (which I've seen in person and it is a very FLAT black) and super resistant to scratches. if I got another case I'd def go with this. I mentioned to Ben at MM how much better I liked wrinkle in person and suggest they have samples for a coupla bucks. maybe email him and see if you can get some scrap of each? I have some scrap wrinkle and prolly black mirror somewhere (tho mirror and anodized are easy to picture: one's shiny, one's flat, wrinkle needs to be seen to be appreciated IMO) I voted wrinkle... |

Mirror black for me. Great looking finish if you keep it polished and take care of it with proper cleaning. Micro fiber cloth only. Don't even dust it off with anything else after unpacking.

Had a black mirror finish on my last MM 1203 opti.
Going for a custom dark blue look for my next build, a Pinnicle 24 case this time around. Great thing about MM's, just like Burger King, "have it your way-lol |

He really should put a sample kit up on his site -- IMO, 20 bucks (shipped CONUS) for a chunk (probably the offcuts of 120mm fan holes?) of alu with each type of coating he offers wouldn't be unreasonable. Knowing I was getting exactly the finish I liked best would make 400+ USD for a case a lot more easy to swallow...

Eg: RRT could buy one as a group and when someone is looking to buy a new MM case they can ask Red (or who ever has them) to post them out the swatches and when they are finished with the swatches they can post them back. Ofcouse it only works in principal. but it might be worth a shot?

The black mirror is pretty, but for me, it's just to damn delicate. I have the black mirror finish and hate it. If you take care of it and pamper it, it looks awesome. I'm pretty rough on my hardware though and I'm not really the kind of guy that pampers things, so my case looks like ass. Tons of micro scratches - that's the real deal breaker for this finish.

The best solution I can think of would be to arrange to send bits of MM panels to some intermediary (perhaps Red?) along with other items -- like bits from FS/FT, or stuff going to and/or from the RRR Plating Service... |
