Thought you all would like to see the last one we did, this was by far the most popular X58 board out there to be put under water.
This board holds an I7-970. The X58 classified block is formerly an EK plexi/nickel block that was stripped and re-chromed. This is why some of the old crappy nickel plating can still be seen through the plexi. The resulting temps look, kind of unbelievable. Ambient temps in my work room are pretty cool. But it is not overclocked yet and speedstep and all that junk is still enabled in an older BIOS. My apologies again to Al for taking so long on this build. A first attempt ended in failure and a leak after a screw-head broke off a chromed Heatkiller. The last time I tried to extract a screw the drill-bit broke off and flew right by my eyeball. |
