Guys I am looking for some help here. I am putting together a new build and finally booted up into bios and decided to check temps and it is telling me that my north bridge is running at 80-85 while my CPU (980x) is running at 13. Anyone who has the 4 way and has any guidance would be appreciated as this can't be normal. Thanks in advanced.

Hey guys, I've got a big headache problem that I've recently faced.
I am running an Asus gtx280 1gb, i7-920@ 3.4ghz, OCZ-1666 ddr3 6Gb ram on an EVGA x58 SLi motherboard. The card is watercooled, temps are great @ 50-70degC, whole system is watercooled so heat is not an issue. The card sits on my motherboard 16x slot, EVGA x58 Sli motherboard.

Previously this card was doing just fine, I could score an easy 12-16k on Vantage in Vista and XP, even with apps running in the background. Then recently I installed Win7 HE 64bit, the latest Nvidia drivers 258.96 64bit and DX11 drivers, and even SLi profile 5 from Nvidia.

BUT now I am only scoring sub-3000k on my Vantage which is absolutely pathetic, what's the problem I could be facing???

I have rolled-back drivers, countless re-installations, O/S re-formats, but everytime I get the same pathetic results, I can't play ANY single game smoothly, but other than that, all other apps in Windows run and show just fine, my monitor is a Samsung 2232gw 22-incher at 1680 resolution. Videos and apps work fine.

If it's not heat, not a driver problem, could it be a BIOs problem?? What's the &%#^@# problem? Is this card toast? I find it hard to believe, there's no artifacts, videos and apps run okay, but games and performance and just pure shit.

Need help!

I guess is about as general as it gets. No mouse specific forum, heh.

I have an old Logitech MX Revo that needs new feet. Ive tried contacting Slicksurf, but havent gotten any reply. Logitech no longer carries them as they just have replacements for their new POS Performance which is supposed to be the replacement for the MX Revo, which isnt even close to being as good.

Any idea where I can get some true replacements, not just tape or stick on pads.

Okay I have a macbook pro. I need help with choosing some extra internal and external storage as I do not have a desktop ATM.

Okay heres what I have planned.

Internal:
1. Replace the existing 2.5" 500GB 5400 RPM HDD with a 1TB Drive in the HDD bay.
There are 4 options for them:
Western Digital Scorpio Blue WD10TPVT 1TB 5200 RPM 8MB Cache 2.5"
SAMSUNG SpinPoint MT2 HM100UI 1TB 5200 RPM 8MB Cache 2.5"
Toshiba MK1059GSM 2.5" 1TB 5200 RPM 8MB Cache 2.5"

Newegg Comparison
Budget: $160ish USD?

Your thoughts?

2. And my other idea for internal storage is replacing the DVD drive with a optibay enclosure (chinese copy) and using a SSD for the Boot/OS and Software divided in two with bootcamp 50/50 OSX and W7 64.

Suggestion? I have no idea I was thinking of a 120-256GB drive
Budget (undecided) best value/performance?

Your thoughts?

External:
I was looking at the Segate Go Flex 1TB 2.5" because it has USB 2, 3 eSATA and Firewire 800 Connectors available for it.

http://www.seagate.com/www/en-us/pro...ble-hard-drive

Your thoughts?

Thanks
