Don't really know how I should have phrased that, but WCG is using all of my resources. How can I change how much load on my cpu is caused by wcg.

Advanced > Preferences.
Either
At most use [xxx]% CPU time.
Or
On multiprocessor systems, use at most [xxx]% of the processors.
Hope that helps.

Preferences > check "i want to customize my preferences for this computer only" > Put the porcentage you desire in "Use no more than ___ of the processor > Click Save.

The default usage is 60%. If your system resources is at 100%, it's not WCG doing it. You must have something else going on. Honestly, I can run WCG at 80% and still not notice it's running, even while playing a game.

Umm, No. If you weren't a dumbass and created a shitload of new accounts, maybe. However, you created a bunch of extra work for me and others when you pull that shit.

I didn't do shit and you assholes banned me. How hard can it be to ban an account. Maybe I should make more?

They banned you because they can. Don't bitch out. Don't make more accounts and be an even bigger bitch.

@Lollerskater69...

LMFAO...

Don't worry bro, they banned me as well...

Paulieg didn't give me one of the 3 infractions I received in less than a minute, though...

I really don't give a fuck though, that forum doesn't have much I care to read, no offense meant Paulieg.;) I accomplished what I set out to accomplish in my time there:)

But if you got your account back Lollerskater69, then you'd be able to buy some X58's from Fitseries3's TPU WCG Farm... :ROTF:

Defaults always been 100% with Boinc on a str8 install..at least the 30 times I've installed it. You can dial it down, but it actually throttles down on it's own when any other resources needs CPU time.

If you don't believe me, look at the defaults on the devices profiles on my grid/wcg.

Maybe it depends on the version. When I installed it on my laptop a while back it defaulted at 60%

Mine was at 60 percent also.

Hmmmm... maybe the defaults are different on the WCG profiles now. Because when first starting a client, it pulls from there. Back when I started 2 years ago, it was 100% by default so I guess that still carries over to today, because I've never dialed one of my profiles down.

hmm....thanks for the info, I stand corrected:up:

Mine was at 60 percent also.

Hey man...do me a favor...go into your WCG/My Grid accoutn and check one of the profiles you've never touched if you have one, and see what the default CPU usage is?

thanks,

Anyways, thanks for the awnser. I'm not going to continue because ultimately it wasn't your decision.

I can play most games with it running at 100%, since I only lose 15% of the frame rate, which only maters in GTA IV for anyways. In older games it makes no difference what so ever, although it will bring you points down for the day

I leave mine running 24/7 @ 100%, but when I'm in heavy game mode I turn it off.

That's true, but my gamer is also my main cruncher. Taking it down or setting it idle hurts. :crack:
