I don't know much about the state of Germany's politics and if these guys even have a chance at passing this or not, but it would change things a bit if this were to happen.

Not only for the game developers there, but maybe even hardware designers. Considering many people buying expensive watercooling equipment do so to build sweet gamiming rigs, I wonder if it could hurt the design of new products based in Germany.

But wait, I thought teaching violence to kids was cool. I mean, it's been ok for all this time, right? So killing violent video games is going to change everyone's perception on everything!!!

All games are already censored, go to Team Fortress 2 and watch the "Meet the ____" videos in Germany. Oil and bolts instead of blood

I think Germany as a country has it's shit together for the most part.
I don't think kids should be raised on violent video games, but then again, the entire world today is built largely on violence. How do you hide from the rest of the world?

Why aren't parents held accountable anymore?

And sadly at this point in time, if you take the violence out of video games, what is left?

It seems like in the USA violence is ok, but sex is bad. Whereas, in Europe it is the other way around where sex is ok and violence is bad.

There are games censored here in the US though too. For example, The Witcher US version is censored and doesn't show some minor nudity, whereas the International version of the game does. I was able to patch my version with the European files and was rid of the censorship.

Exactly. We can't see pussy and tits, but it's ok to watch people die on youtube. Makes a lot of sense doesn't it?
