View Full Version : Best SLI Stress Tester?

I like the atitool fuzzy cube with the artifact finder once the overclock is pushed too far.

I do not think it works for SLI though. Anyone got this to work? Can you run two instances?

Any other options that would show evidence of a bad overclock. I do not think furmark reports any problems (like atitool does) and is simply as FPS heater type of program, maybe I'm wrong.

I know about running X loops of "fill in the blank 3dxxx" program, but looking for something with a clear indication an overclock has gone bad.

Any idea would be appreciated.

I used furmark to bench my GPU to test the stock cooler and it worked well, i'm not sure if it supports sli though.
Here's the link for v1.65:

Furmark is the best I've used for pure stress and thermal testing, and it does work with SLI, even quad SLI.

At least it showed as much when I turned the SLI indicators on in the Nvidia control panel. If the OC isn't right, it will lock up the drivers or box. The thing I like about it most, it's a pure graphics test without all the other stuff.

What is also cool about furmark is the temp graph it plots while you run it.

This is true.... I will add....

If your running nVidia GPU's Precision will also keep track of the temps on screen during the bench runs, live. Each card has it's own temp sensor reading in the onscreen dashboard....

Thanks all. I tried furmark again and it is good now. It has been a while since last tried and it has improved.

I also tried OCCT 3.01:

And it has a GPU stability tester similar to atitool.

Both of these programs have made updated nicely.
