What the hell?
I just installed another 295 and my vantage scores have increased by only 4k?
Somethings gota be wrong... I was expecting mid to high 30s
When I enable the SLI indicator bars it says its using quad sli, im using an old sli link cable but that shouldnt make any difference
Specs:
Hardware: QX9650 @ 4.25, 2 x GTX295 @ 710/1100, Striker 2 Extreme, G.Skill Titan 128GB SSD, 4GB Corsair Dominator 1600
Software: Vista64 SP1, Vantage 1.0.1, GForce 182.5
Any Ideas?

Yeah, not right, I score higher than that with my 2 285's, then again I just noticed you are running Core 2 where I am running i7, but you should still be higher than that.... Physx off or on?

you got Physx on??? and..it's more limited by CPU than GPU after a certain level unfortunately.

physx is running on the 295s... so the score is over inflated as it is.
I'll post a screenie of the result when i get home... I was pretty tired and frustrated with it when the results finally came in last night.

Yeah Ballz, Unfortunately I think it's the cpu.
If you could get the cpu higher your shader scores would increase.
I went through this with both of my 3870x2s when I was running my q6600.
CPU is the limiting factor.

ok here are the screenies...
the first is from my current machine
the second is from another machine, single 295 stock clocks
cpu 2 score stands out... currently 19.6 was 151.7.... this is really pulling down the cpu score.
I have a feeling physx is fucking me somehow

ok something is seriously fucked up here...
I dropped in a 285 for physx and scored 19.65 on CPU test 2!
I got 32.43 with a 8500 GS before... WTF?!?!

HAHA! Don't you love it when you invest a lot of money and have problems?
Werent you the one with the driver problems yesterday or the day before?
You may very well still have an issue there.
Oh, and pics of new rig in the gallery or BAN!

yeah that was me :)
its not pretty at the moment... im running it in on air till ive got the bugs out and its doing the required backflips and loop-the-loops (technical jargon)
once these issues are sorted ill unveil the beast :)
Teaser specs are: Water Cooled 2x295 SLI for Graphics & 285 for Physx, Phase Change Cooled QX9650

First CPU score was definitely without Physx running. Only way to get that low on that test. Try uninstalling Physx driver and reinstall.

ok.... something was fucked in vista64
*phew i was starting to think it was the hardware*
Installed Vista32, latest drivers, rivatuner for a light clocking and broke the 30k mark, just
CPU @ 4.2 295s @ 720/999

very nice man
I get ~35,000 with tri sli GTX 285's and an i7, so your def doing more with less hardware, I bow!

I think it could be Vista64 with 3D Mark in General
With a Q9650 and 9800GX2 on 3D Mark 06 i score around 15k when similar rigs get in the 17 and 18,000s
Maybe theres others with 64 having a problem as well?

I too own a pair of gtx295 cards. I found that they are bottlenecked by CPU. You need to overclock the CPU further to get higher scores.
My current rig has performed well enough to get me 41k in vantage with GPU Physx enabled.
