I would like to thank everyone for a very friendly welcome! Also like to thank members Baleful and b@llzor for inviting me to share my builds with you guys. I started the Goliath build on another site and maybe some of you have seen my work. If so, please excuse the repeats and look forward to more interesting projects.

I’m sure some of you are wondering what will be involved in this build. Let me say this…. Everything will be custom made, all metal work for the case will be fabricated from aluminum, all water blocks, distribution manifolds and reservoir will be made from copper. The only thing that will not be custom, will be the compressors and electrical components. With that said, here is a list of things to look forward to in this build.

1. The custom case is fabricated from aluminum and will be designed to house three cooling systems. The case is very large 48” W x 48” H x 18” D.

2. There will be three compressors with R507 refrigerant cooling three different systems. I’m hoping to get the temps down to around -40 for each system.

3. The first cooling system will cool down a low temp heat transfer fluid to -40 that will remove heat from the two video cards and NB. Each component will have separate cooling loop.

4. The second cooling system will cool down a custom air tight chamber, which the motherboard, CPU and video cards will be mounted inside. The idea is to keep the air inside down to -40 and not have to insulate any of the components. Also, the ram and other chips on the motherboard will be cooled by the circulating -40 air in the chamber.

5. The third cooling system will be single stage phase exchanger for cooling the CPU.

6. The cooling blocks will be designed for maximum flow of heat transfer fluid under high pressure. The high pressure fluid will move through the cooling blocks rapidly removing heat from the components.

These are the highlights of the custom build and there will be a lot more to come. I know this site is mainly for watercooling...so I hope you guys don't mind my extreme system on this forum.

I am eager to see your build, sounds fantastic. Sub-ambient cooling to me is a no-go in Houston where it is always high humidity. I worry about the condensation.

Yep, I spent an entire afternoon on the thread of this build a while back. Long thread!
Welcome once again Sweeper. Your work is insane!

i have seen this on another forum but never entered the thread let see this build !
even though vapor phase isnt my thing i would like to know the different stage systems your doing
i only know the single stage one

just a noob

Sounds like quite a project. 48x48x18 is one monster of a system. Can't wait to see what you do with it.

I think I've seen this over on XtremeSystems. Amazing build if I might say so myself. (If its the right one that is.)

I'm glad to see some of you guys are interested in my work. I know picutres speak a 1000 words, so lets get this build log started. I will start from the beginning for those that has not seen this build on the other site. This build has went through many design stages, so I will post a little history of how Goliath grew into the beast it is today and continue with the most current progress.

The case is all aluminum is 48" x 48" x 18". The closure panel material is a special honeycomb shape print. This will look very nice, once final paint.

I've taken two condensers and made them into one. This is for more cooling capacity for the refrigerant.

519

Condensers fits perfect in the case.
521

Receiver I made for the liquid cooling loop.
522

High pressure rotary pump for circulating the low temp fluid.
523

Plate heat exchanger for cooling the low temp fluid.
524

Insulated case I made for the heat exchanger.
528
529

Components assemblied in the case.

This all for now, I will be posting a lot more throughout the week. I have hundreds of pictures and it will take time to organize them on this site.
