I have some freaking monsters over here...

They are comair rotron 24 volt ac fans. 120x38mm model number mx62a3.
The specs I was able to find are that they are 115 cfm and 14 watts.
No damned datasheet on the manufaturer site though for some reason????

We use them to cool entire relay racks of telecommunications equipment.
they push some serious air, and while I can't find a pressure spec, I will say they push unlike anything I have ever messed with before.

They are all metal, with heavy duty motors and weigh over a pound each.
If you hit a finger, you will most definitely cry and bleed. been there, done that. they have teeth on the triple blades. They are like meat grinders. lol

I really want to know the pressure spec because I think they will OWN on a watercooled bench. cant find it anywhere.

Anyone know anything additional about them, or have any experience?
I'm going to have to find a psu for them and try 'em.

I'll post pics of them when I get home today.

is this they push some serious air at the price of your ear drums?
much like some deltas...

Yeah lol, they are a bit noisy. I couldn't give you a guess, but they are typically run here in groups of 8 and at that rate they are loud together. I'd have to see how they sound at home with maybe one or two running.

The value I see in them is that to someone serious about benching with a watercooling setup these have got to have a good impact on performance. Hell even on an aircooler if the cooler could support the weight of one. they are pretty heavy and very sturdy.

I will post pics of them later. I'm at work now.

Langer, the reason I mentioned these is because I have a bunch of them laying around.

FREEBIE!!! Zero, zip, NADA!!!! lol ya know?

But those deltas are a great deal compared to some of the other shit I've payed more for...cough....nanoxia....cough....noiseblocker... .cough. pretty blades with no ass to back them up. Thankfully my wife liked them and used them in her rig.

As with most fans that push a ton of air, they are not practical for any sort of use other than benching because they are so loud.

tsk tsk

anyways a good 120mm 100-115cfm fan has about 4-8mm h20 static air pressure. panaflos, san ace has almost the same ratings.

i'd assume your 115cfm fan is in between that range..

higher cfm and higer rpm will result to higher static pressure...i'm only talking 120mm fans...if yuo look at the delta fans...they have high static pressure because of rpm numbers...and you also have high cfms, ...and oh yeah high noise too

Honda,

These are not near as noisy as the deltas. I actually couldn't believe the deltas when I saw one in Ballz0r's vid. I also don't think the cfm or rpm is as high, but there is definitely some very good static pressure. In the relay racks these live in where I work, I absolutely have to shit them down to remove the grille and air filter without bending it. lol And this is not a flimsy thing either.

Here they are below. I mentioned elsewhere how I was bitten by them before. Look at the blades! LMAO! I got fucked up pretty good from that, the first time I had to replace one years back. Oh lessons learned...

But they are a far quieter alternative to the delta IMO, and while they arent 200+ CFM, they are indeed very good. I will hopefully get some time soon to play with them on my variac. I want to see what overvolting them does, and also measure the noise levels as I have the studio equipment to do so.
They are also very high quality with very good motors. They weigh like a pound each!

does it have a rpm sense output?

those look great

Those are some gnarly looking fans.

Silence is over rated, 90% of the time I'm on my machine I have headphones on (music or games)... I assume that's pretty common for most users.

Honda, no they dont.
If you look in the forst pict to the right you can see the connector.
it's a 2 prong plug type connector. These are very heavy-duty industrial fans for cooling telecommunications equipment. Real hot shit like high power lasers and stuff.

Liu Kang, good point. For some noise is not an issue.

I have a variable AC transformer I use to tweak my guitar tube amps that I want to try, and I also have a straight up 24 volt wall transformer that will also run these.

When I try running them I'll make a clip and maybe if you guys like them, I'll send out a few of them. Reason I even mentioned them was for that reason.
