We are sorry however the 295 cards are no longer avaible for step up.
Wow! The demand for these is so crazy that EVGA just can't meet it anymore!
Unless you're already in the queue, you're shit out of luck!

Wow, that's kinda lame. I heard Nvidia is going to revamp these cards though, making them single PCB just like the 4870X2 to save on costs. Who knows if it's really true though.

That's the story, Baleful.
I guess the cards are really in hot demand because they sure seem to be scarce and they seem to have resolved the microstutter issues (at least I've not seen much in the way of complaints on the subject)

Man that whole microstutter thing was a shakey subject to begin with. It started as pure speculation, then some guy did a few tests that kinda showed it but I've yet to see a purely scientific test that proves microstuttering is real.
I'm not saying it doesn't exist, but I would be interested in seeing some more in depth testing on the subject for sure.

I think it existed on my 3870 X2 Quadfire setup.
I was pulling 125 FPS in COD4 and would still seem jittery.
But there are so many factors that affect stuff that it's tough to be sure.

Wow, BFG still has them available, I'm waiting for the 275s though.

Well hopefully it is because they are going to release a single PCB which means the regualr 295 should drop in price

Oh I don't doubt it. They're still around and available now, but check back in a month and they'll be pretty scarce, I bet.
