not used one sorry.
I've got a couple of dreamboxs for foxtel streaming, and 4 dvb-t usb tuners for FTA streaming.
I'm using vlc. Was using mediaportal, but got sick of its instability.
If its just fta dvb-t your after, a couple of leadtek usb tuners are cheap and easy to use. used Vista MC? Its crap

Anybody know if this is a 1 time purchase...unlike Tivo that requires a monthly subscription....?

Yeah, it's a one time purchase, but with Win 7 you don't really need one, just a card that does QAM. Should be some new stuff coming down the pipe with newer cablecard tuners in the near future.
