I think three 60GB SSDs for OS and games would be about right for me. I've got about 140GB between the OS partition and my games and programs partition right now.

I'm still leery about the whole stuttering mess, but I guess if there are ways around it, I'd be up for some tweaking.

Read this (http://anandtech.com/storage/showdoc.aspx?i=3531)article if you haven't already. It's a very lengthy article, but very detailed and explains the ups and downs of SSDs on the market now, and which ones to stay away from and why.

Yeah Bale...I've been nibbling around the edges of that article, but I think I'll dive in.

I probably won't go to SSDs until maybe the fall. We'll see, I guess.

The summary of that article = All SSD's blow away benchmarks and such, but are still lacking when it comes to handling the OS and some day to day operations. All SSD's except for Intel's X-25 series (http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&N=40000636+50001157&Configurator=&Subcategory=636&description=Intel+SSD&Ntk=&SpeTabStoreType=&srchInDesc=), which are insanely expensive. You get what you pay for though, no other SSD's match Intel's performance.

Guys is the Intel X-25M still the ssd's to get? The reason I'm asking is I read an article about the Intel ssd slowing down over time, http://www.pcper.com/article.php?aid=669&type=expert&pid=7 and another site saying the OCZ and GSkill's ssd's are not subject to this. All the X-25M's just need a firmware update to fix this issue right? or is there more to it?

I was thinking of getting 2 of these and raid0 them http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820167005 or should I go for the OCZ's http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820227395
