Well I am as new as it gets to your forum. So I thought I would gently introduce myself in this category.
I do this as a hobby. I once Built Jeeps, and then ATV's... Now Computers.... I am... Well lets just say I was around when man first landed on the moon....
As far as tweaking goes I consider myself just an average skill. I piss my wife off weekly with new shipments of parts... That will come to an end next week as we move to our new home and all the time and expense that goes with it will certainly slow me down.....
I just participated in my first ever friendly competition and placed 20th out of 141 entrants (Total points earned). That was fun! In case your interested in what I am talking about here is the link. (http://www.forumwars.us/scores.html)...
This build below is one I did in January and part of February this year. It just got torn down today and is being re-built. I am getting a Classified and three GTX285's. In addition I just ordered up three of the Blocks your offering and the Connecting Bridge....
I hope you enjoy!.....

Cudos to Tech support... They just saved us an unnecessary RMA!!! Well I think so anyway, we will see once I find a new PSU and run it successfully for a few weeks...
Now I have to find a new PSU.... Unless someone has a Corsair 1000w they want to sell?????

Well I have gone thru all my stress tests for the Memory and CPU.... Stock runs like a dream!
This MOBO allows me to run @ 3.7GHZ and change at stock settings with Vdroop on. The only two settings I changed for the CPU to do that are the Execute Disable and setting the BLK to around 180....
RAM manually set for 2:8 and stock 1.65v's @ 8-8-8-24-74-1T...
Once all the stock burning was done I went after some simple overclock runs..... The settings below are stable with every test I could throw at it so far.....
Runs cool and fast..... Can't wait to get all my parts in and light it up!!!!

My Classified was DUA (Defective Upon Arrival)... Four power supplies, two Different RAM Manufactures and several CPU's later EVGA suggests I RMA it.
Sure would have like to have done that on Monday when I called and told them of the issue two hours after getting it.... Shocking...
Basically (For those who may ask) I am told we cannot run one 8pin 12v connector from one PSU and a second from another PSU. The two 8 pin 12v connectors must be from the same PSU.
This is why I got the Corsair 1000w. My plan was simple....
Corsair 1000w runs......
(2) 285's
Both 8pn 12v connectors
24 pin main MOBO connector
The Antec 550w runs......
(1) 285
13 fans
(2) pumps
(2) UV Lights.
First they tell me that they are having issues with the CM PSU's. SO I unplug that 8pin 12v plug from the mother board and BANGO... Works....
SO I order a Corsair 1000w unit....
I have it 100% tucked in and done... Took pictures and everything.... Went to turn it on.... FLash... FLash... FLash.....
I unplug one of the 8pin 12v connectors.... Bang fired right up...
Same Frikn problem I had with the CM PSU!!!!!
Then I get pisssssssssed. I removed both PSU's and try and run the system with just the 1000w Corsair.... Now I have nothing. It acts like I never even push the power button.....
I have taken my 24 pin adapter that I use for priming the pumps and leak testing... The Corsair is working, it turns all the fans on and the pumps...... cry... :banghead:

Not good...I hope you get it all sorted out soon. FWIW I am also using the HX1000 and 3 285's without incident. I wonder if the dual psu's contributed to the problem? Thanks for the info as I was thinking about doing exactly what you did to see if it helped my clocks.
Good news is evga's tech support/rma dept is stellar. They will get you a new board "quick, fast and in a hurry."

Afterburner, looks like our chips are very similar. Mine's a 3841a529.
I have the rampage 2 extreme board, but with just a bclk change like you, I get the same speed and also with the identical voltage. And it is also bulletproof no matter what i do to it. I am amazed by that since I have never hit 4ghz with this kind of stability.
Nice temps though! You have me smoked there. i think mine will sit around 40c at that speed as it sits. I have some work to do to improve temps.

Thanks for the kind words! I also have a 3839A577, it is my cherry CPU... I can run that b!tch at 4.432GHz all day with 1.5215V's and it asks for more (Prime95 & Intel Burn stable) .... It's my WAR CPU......... I want 4.6-4.7 out of it but that will take me time to fine tune my other settings to get it... Something I do not have right now......
Do not let my temps fool you.... I mastered Air before trying WC and I have a LOT to learn with water.... But I use a few Air tricks and WC at the same time... This helps SIGNIFICANTLY.
For a quick example I direct you towards my last pic above...... See the fan towards the front (Black)... It is cooling the top of the CPU Block-NB/SB cooler and the Vreg....
Let me explain in a fast simple way.....
I take an Antec spot fan and test for a few days in different locations. I try overclocks as I go.
Here is my bottom line. I am sure most of us here already know this as/is 100% guaranteed fact. If you do not keep the Vreg temps AND the NB/SB temps under control... The OC you look for in a CPU will not go as high and we have to shove more V's at the CPU to get the clocks than we do if we actually do a good job keeping the other items cool....
As a result I am able to keep less V's going to the CPU allowing for lower temps and far better performance (If .2 to .4GHZ is that) out of my CPU's because of it.
Lastly.... I have listen to those who have been there and done that, and purchased the right fans for the job of cooling the RAD's.... a RAD is worthless with the wrong type/style fan....

Well for that RAD IMHO... Not fact mind you that I can dig up and show you..... The KAZE 3000 120x38 133cfm is the ticket because of the x38 size and cubic volume of air at a lower RMP...
That RAD has more heat fins per inch than a 120.3 does... and that means if you do not have the right fan on it the air will actually fight to get in the fins and bounces back causing more turbulence than one wants...
Frankly I think that type of RAD is the very reason folks should use the fan shrouds/spacers....
I tried the fans you have on it first.... I had to run them fairly high in RPM for them to work... I went to the Kaze..... and I use at max 65% of the fans RPM potential.... About 2100.....
That is just my findings and not the gospel....
A very good read on this is actually already here I think.... If not here is the link I saved.... (http://martinsliquidlab.i4memory.com/HWlabs480GTX-Review.html)

ok afterburner. I read the article at Martins liquid lab. So it seems that the PA 120.3 dissipates a bit more or more or less the same amount of heat with low RPM fans, but the GTX 480 dissipates more heat with higher RPM fans such as the ones you reccommended me. Hopefully I understood it correctly.

Surprisingly a lot! Frankly I am convinced that Corsair under rated this bad boy.... I think it is really a 1200 and they decided to call it a 1000w. I am able to run 10 more 110cfm fans while everything is at max overclock (In addition to my 13 already in it) and one more pump (For a total of three) and it acts like I have added nothing to it...
My Meter says the max draw I have been able to get so far is 972w for four hours... I tried to get more... Just did not happen... Ran out of fans!!

So I did what I am sure has not been done as a whole that many times. I would go as far as saying I am darn sure someone else has done it, but I have never seen it......
In a nut shell I decided to turn the face of the case 90deg... So now all three Triple Rads are vertical..... I re-used all but one of my original parts. The Bitspower RES was a POS for me.... That RES needs a more restrictive loop or an adjustable pump.... I kept getting air sucked into the loop from it....
This is a work in progress update. I am not done yet. Need to wait for the replacement Fan Controller before I can button it up....
The Good.....
1. I no longer need the fan to blow from the front of the case over the MOBO to help cool the Vreg and NB.... Enough airflow from the RADS do it just fine...
2. By placing the inlet/outlets of the RAD's at the bottom of the case I used 5 feet less hose than the setup before!!
3. I was able to keep every last wire on the left side of the case, and nearly all water hose/parts on the other. This made for a far cleaner look and a significant reduction in turbulence and blockage of the airflow inside the case.
4. The UV lights now hit the hose at a better angle to help make the red look better! So this means it will run faster right!!! http://www.411overkill.com/forum/phpBB3/images/smilies/Heristical.gif http://www.411overkill.com/forum/phpBB3/images/smilies/Heristical.gif
5. This makes draining or replacing part much easier to do with far less to work around or move...
6. The new location and RES for the CPU looks very sexy and works surprisingly well!
7. Once I get the GPU Blocks I believe this will be one of the nicest looking builds I have done to date. I like it clean and I believe all the hours of staring at the case in every direction, plotting out what new idea I had, paid well in the end.
The Bad.....
1. It took FOREVER to get the frik'n air out of the loop.... To the point of me getting tired of flipping the case around and around....
2. The 5 1/4 bays ARE NOT SQUARE..... What an idiot I am!!! Now I have to mod the front bays to get everything in it... I figure I will ditch my DVD drive and get some external gig for it. But the fan controller and ECP will have to find new ways to mount. The RES was easy... Its mount is square, I just pulled it apart and installed it the way I need it.
3. I need more parts now. I depleted my stash... sigh
4. Read #3 again... you'll get the Picture http://www.411overkill.com/forum/phpBB3/images/smilies/shock.gif http://www.411overkill.com/forum/phpBB3/images/smilies/shock.gif .
Now for the photos!!!

The red hose looks HOT!
I think it's really the best color for showing off a system.

Why is there part of a hose that's not connected? O.o
Looks like it anyway.
The hose above the GPU's.
Looking gorgeous gotta be said!

You are correct... That is why I mentioned this is a work in progress.... I am still waiting on the RRT special ordered HK GPU Blocks & Bridge......
I am thinking of just ordering some from Gary and just sell these special ones once they finally get here.... Dangit....
So the unlinked hose you see was my guess with a few extra inches added, of where the mount will connect for the return line....

AS requested... Here are a few more pics.... I had to tear down the BIX RAD today... Two of the three KAZE 3000 fans are making a ticking noise... Very annoying...
I ordered up new fans from Gary just now..

Thanks.. I think?!?!
What is 12MP?
As to the photo's... All the photos I have seen here are automatically shrunk, and click-able to enlarge.... What size are they supposed to be? Seems every site has a preference......

it looks horrible. At least to me it does... I would have rather seen pure distilled than this nonsense. Or some Feser F1 clear blue or SOMETHING that wasn't THAT blue :(

Well Boooooo Whoooooo:bird: Send me the money and parts to do it your way and I will... Till then enjoy the sexy blue!!!! MUHAHAHAHAHAHA! :moon:
I have done many colors... And when some company ACTUALLY comes out with red UV that looks RED UV.... Then maybe I will try again.....
Thought about doing one punchy pink.... I get tired of the same colors and try different ones every few builds....

I have to agree. I bought a UV pink coolant one time and it made my machine look like barbie owned it. I hated it. All of this coolant sucks. Plus some of them gunk up blocks.
I went with red tubes and distilled water for the same reason.
but I do like the blue.
