I think it was more the triple 8-pin power connectors that sealed the deal for nVidia's "official" card.

You're right, it IS madness.

When they decided that it would require a triple slot cooler they should have made the decision to ONLY release it as a WC product, and then gotten on the horn with AquaComputer to make custom blocks for it....

Laptops, they're getting smaller. Cellphones, they're getting smaller. TVs are getting thinner, and almost everything in the electronic world is getting more compact. Except Videocards :p

That said, if you're an extreme OCer, you won't be using the stock heatsink on that, anyways. =\

It'll probably cost $999 just like the first Mars card, and it'll also probably very limited edition like the first Mars card.
