hey all.
heres the deal.
i had to rma my bfg gtx280,i have a fc block i did not even get on yet.
i asked for an instore credit,to maybe buy an evga card not bfg.

now the cheapest 280 is 479 can.
i can get a 285 for around 450

by getting the 285 though,i need to fork out more money for a new block.
i will keep this card, whichever one for a while,1-2 years

i don`t play the upgrade game every time a new model comes out
from user expreiences here,is there a noticable improvement going from the 280 to the 285,
gaming perspective,as i dont care squat about benching
thanks

Waste of time. And I have more 285s than I care for.

The 280 is great. Not worth it to make the switch.

keep the 280 since you already have a block for it.
budget wise this is the safer route...

Not just in terms of budget. The 285 MIGHT clock higher (mine don't like being too much over stock) and clock for clock the 280 and the 285 are identical.
