As some of you know i am in the process of building a new computer and i was wondering since i have a spare 650w psu around if that would support a i7 950 and a gtx 570? Until i am able to get the actual psu for the rig?

antec earthwatt 650w is the psu i have. and my MB is EVGA x58 3waysli

As long as it's a single 570 you're fine.

You'll be totally fine. I'd be pretty surprised if your rig pulled more than 500W unless full out benching while OC'd.

That is plenty of power for an i7, but depends on what you want in terms of the rest of your configuration.
