I might have missed this some where but I'm curious to when these will be available? Anyone here anything? I'm getting one for a good price to use till my Stinger V8 is ready. Hopefully soon! lol
Hey guys, my first post here. Some of you may know me as "TnB= Gir" on OCN and "Gir92" on XS. But you can just call me Gir. ;)
Anyways, to sum it up. The original mounting plate for my Fuzion V1 didn't have enough strength to withstand the mounting pressure that I was using. As such, it was bending and warping under the pressure and I wasn't getting good mounts. So my friend on OCN Nafljhy made a custom brass mounting plate for my Fuzion V1. Original thread here (http://www.overclock.net/water-cooling/411820-material.html) if you want to see everything. Final pics of it mounted here (http://www.overclock.net/5152077-post153.html).
I'll just post the final pics for you guys. If you want to see more, I have provided the links above. :)
(yes, I noticed the bent pins on the Enzotech mosfet sink. I fixed those after I took the picture.)
Pics were taken with my el cheapo Nikon Coolpix S9. Block and plate only pics were taken with the same camera in a ghetto light box I made.
Thanks for looking everyone. :)

That's a lovely mounting plate. This would give a boner for those who dig brass in their project ;)
Welcome to our forum :trampoline:
Thanks Zilikon! He did a fantastic job. It really compliments the "blingness" of the tech station by Syrillian very nicely.

He didn't charge me anything. I don't think he's decided if he will produce more of them yet, but I will ask him. I think he said the materials to make one mount and sand/buff/polish one plate is roughly 12-15 bucks.

Yeah where are they? I have 3 D-Tek Fusion V1 just sitting here waiting to be used. I got tired of waiting so I bought a Swiftech APOGEE GTZ/1366 combo.
I asked Performance-PCs.com and they said very soon, 1 month later still nothing! Oh well I wanted to use my new compression fitting anyways, and I could not on the D-Tek.
Hey guys, I just want to get an estimation here.
Would you be interested in 1366 mounting plates like this (http://www.realredraider.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=964)?

Thanks RRR. :)
Here are some pics to show just how bad the stock plate was...

Hey guys, I just want to get an estimation here.
Would you be interested in 1366 mounting plates like this (http://www.realredraider.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=964)? They would likely be $20 each though... lmk please. I'm asking for a friend.
Is this a TOP and BACKPLATE combo for $20.00?
Is this a TOP and BACKPLATE combo for $20.00?
No, just the bracket. Note that that's for a Fuzion V1 bracket. The materials alone to make it is 15 bucks, so he's not making money.
Considering the V2 bracket a good bit smaller, it may be slightly cheaper to make one for the V2. If he gets on today, I'll ask him to sign up over here.

Now - how to mass market them. :)

I love that bracket Gir, give me a solid price and I'll let you know for sure. $20 isn't bad for hand made work like this.

hey baleful,
glad you like it. :)
as for price, i'm thinking around $30 shipped ConUS. :o
nafljhy
12-22-2008, 07:40 PM
thanks gir!
mass producing these would be a bit difficult as it would depend on the waterblock.
i can fit i7 holes on the mounting bracket too.
and price would be around $30 shipped ConUS... w/o shipping, it would be around $23.

This is the type of mount the V2 has right?

you mean for the V2 fuzion? i could try to fab one up and see if it'll fit nicely.
EDIT: oh!!! thats what you meant? i could definitely try to make a promount like that for you. i have one already that i can try... though the thickness of the brass would have to be thinner to fit. is that ok with you?
Yea, I'm pretty sure the V2 mount is just the pro mount. He would just need the holes to be farther out since he's using an i7 I believe.
nafljhy
12-22-2008, 07:52 PM
the i7 mounting holes aren't a problem. to me the only problem is the thickness of the plate so that there is no possiblity of bending. i'll test it on myself first before i start selling V2 mounts. :p
As we can see by my pics, ANYTHING has gotta be better than stock!

i'm not at school for break and i have two other plates like gir's i need to finish for some other people.

hey smee. thanks for the compliment.
the price would end up $30 shipped ConUS. but that is using the current thickness of brass. it might be cheaper as i am going to need thinner brass for the pro mount. :p

if it's for the v1, that will actually be faster than the v2 as im already set to make a couple of those. i'll just add one for you into the mix and try to make like 3 at a time. :p

sweet man! just PM me where to send payment and thanks!
So, I'm a bit confused now, Are you making V2 Pro-mounts for 775 or 1366 moutning?
So, I'm a bit confused now, Are you making V2 Pro-mounts for 775 or 1366 moutning?
I believe they are both. Since 1366 is just slightly wider than 775, all he has to do is make it large enough to fit 1366, and it will automatically fit 775 anyways.
Cutless009
12-27-2008, 05:28 AM
Surely he could just make one size and drill holes for both.

that is correct gir-face :p

i'm thinknig in the long run, having both sets will be better than just having one set.
1366 for mine:D
no problem. :)

Really nice looking mounting plate there. I was about to order a GTZ to replace my Fusion v1 since D-Tek appears to be sitting on their hands. Maybe now I'll hold off a bit and see how this develops.

Hi,
Sorry, trying to get everyone informed on this.
We have a new manufacturing facility in the works now and expecting the products soon. I cannot give an ETA as I have no history with this company and how accurate they are.
I will be sure to announce any information on the website for any sort of solid ETA I may get.
Rest assured a Pro-bracket set is on the way for the FuZion blocks. We just had problems with one of the manufacturers and had to look elsewhere.
Thanks,
Daniel Salandra

Thanks Sniper, it now make sense why it's taking so long. D-Tek usually don't wait that long to release something and I hope the new manufacturer will perform to their expectation (and everyone's else in the end).

Same and answer I got as well. Bla Bla Bla :fight13: They said in my reply they started production on them in middle 2008. Which seems far back to have nothing to show for it today. I would like to use my new V1 model on a second 1366 build. Well only time will tell..
