Do you want to watercool your 280GTX?

ballz0r
12-15-2008, 08:31 AM
If I were you id skip the kit and invest in a good CPU block, 360 Rad, a Pump and make your own... although the S2E fusion block isnt the best, itll do ok under water... you can add the 280 to the loop when funds permit

oh and :welcome: :)

i dont realy what you whant mean but my Noctua NH-U12P ?

I dit que le bloc sur la carte-mère semble être en aluminium. C'est pas une bonne idée de l'utiliser donc faudrait penser à un bloc different comme Swiftech MCW-NBMAX.

Translated : I said that the block on the motherboard seems to be aluminium. It's not a good idea to use it so consider a aftermarket block like a ST MCW-NBMAX.

i dont know if the Block Fusion is on aluminium but if i change one i need to change all my system nb sb etc

ballz0r
12-17-2008, 08:18 AM
its cu, the heatsink is al... No al in contact with water.

Id invest in other bits b4 putting the nb/sb under water

It actually does sit on aluminum so maybe stretch your budget ever so slightly for a NB,SB block & maybe just pick up some Enzotec coolers for the mosfets?

Sniper, it's actually possible to keep the heatpipe assembly and just put a waterblock on it with thermal paste, hence my MCW-NBMAX suggestion. I also think a MCW-30 would work as well.

Ah your probably correct. Ah well if he finds a couple extra dollahs it gives him something to think about I guess. lol

Not sure about the EnzoTech but the ASUS2 is not. Here's the chart from EK to show what's compatible far as there blocks are concerned.

fyi the pump top you put up earlier is for an mcp 355 not an mcp 655 so you should buy the mcp 355 and the top instead of the 655

Drop a 360 Rad in the front ;) it will go trust me and connect it via the top fan mount ;)
It will mean your hdd's mounts will stick out and you may need to drill extra holes to account for that, but it will mean you wont need to mount Rad externally ;)
