I have a few friends who play this all the time, wasting their time, and they show me their huge empire of different colored blocks. I mean... it's cool and all, to see all the intricate tunnels they build and the secret underground layers... but still. Seriously? I'd rather be shootin' something in a game than stack blocks. :P

When he was done all I could ask is "what was all that for" he replied with "because I can"

Have any of you played it? From what I can tell, basically no (if 1 for 30 minutes counts)

Its a decently fun game to spend some extra time on...the point is there really is no point, just do what you want. You can mod the files as you please, theres an amusing multiplayer feature, its been hacked with various hardware. Just because YOU don't get it and can only amuse yourself with FPS's and more of the same shit does not make it "gay". I mean, the fucking thing TECHNICALLY isn't even finished...

And that video isnt even what really constitutes the game...I agree THAT is gay, but not the game.
I mean, the fact that you can build a computer in the game already says something in my opinion (and yes...its a real computer that could perform logic systems...)

Also, its not meant to be a full fledged computer game...its web based. Is WOW web based? No....is CoD/BC2 etc web based? No....so u can play that or some fucking pos flash game.

As for Minecraft, the people who go around doing all that roleplay shit are probably about as bad as LARPers, but meh...


Honestly, I've played Minecraft, and I have had some fun with it; Mostly just screwing around with the physics of minecarts... More or less, I know some guys who run a server -- I play L4D2 and other real tames with them -- and their server was pretty cool until they installed some of the mods on it and the roleplay fags took over the server....




I mean, at it's base, it's a true sandbox. If you don't know how to jump into a sandbox and have fun, then Minecraft probably isn't for you....

I bought and liked the game too for about the same amount of time. The problem is that to make something really awesome (in game) takes an insane amount of time and effort. Multiplayer is a lot more fun, but there are a lot more risks unless you have proper back ups and diligent admins.
