I was hoping this exists, but i am in the need for some quick connect fittings that can be used in-line with 1/2"id tubing to allow me to easily connect and disconnect waterblocks without having to drain an entire rig for test bench purposes, going to be reviewing waterblocks and air coolers in the near future and this feature would save me loads of time and effort. Must be leak proof.

waterblock to rad for example

waterblock > barb > tube > qdc (male) > qdc (female) > tube > barb > rad

do these types of fittings restrict flow to the point that it will hurt the system?

There are literally 10000 variants on the 'quick disconnect'.

I like to use Parker FluidLine (http://tinyurl.com/parkerfluidline) or McMaster Carr for my hydraulic/pneumatic parts.

You'll be able to find lots of options with varying levels of ruggedness and flow restriction.

Try searching for their proper name:
They are called Quick Couplings.
The Male end is called a Nipple and the Female end is a Coupler.

You'll encounter a lot of industrial suppliers with these products - many of which will be for very high pressure applications, some will be for air, you want the low-pressure kind designed for fluid.

I shoulda mentioned that. You can send 'em an email to find the closest dealer. I contacted them about that and (soon) got an email from the Canadian rep, and I can order right from him.

Same with Parker, you call them.

You can order over the phone or go to the store. I linked you to the Quick Coupler selection at Parker.

I bought my colder quick disconnects here in town at USPlastics.

I got the "High-Flow" 3/4" models ... "1/2 nominal flow" so I'm guaranteed very little restriction ( if any ) in my lines.

Check them out here - US Plastics (http://www.usplastic.com/catalog/product.asp?catalog%5Fname=USPlastic&category%5Fname=6917&product%5Fid=7413)
