Hey, anyone use this block and recommend it? Having a hard time finding a F/C water block for single pcb card.
EK Waterblocks - EK-FC295 GTX Single PCB - Acetal+Nickel

I have that block... its OK
I dont like the single port design, it really limits your tube routing.
Get the AC block, much better

You can get it directly from AquaComputer..... The price you see on the site should be in Euro, and should include VAT, which means that it should be about what it will cost you, as the VAT is generally about what shipping will cost, and because you're outside the EU, you don't pay VAT...

Not sure about what you mean by the cost being about the same. Price at website is 119.90 eur. 119.90 EUR=170.668 CAD. Is that the total cost to me?
Even that is way to fukin much.
It is for my son's PC, so for that cost, he can live the noise. Or go with the EK and not so tidy tubing run. He doesnt need any CPU water with present O/C, so just a single loop thru the GTX295.
Plus, I really like the looks of the AC block, but you guys that have had one, how do rate it against any other block?
Oh ya, a single 120.1 or 140.1 rad enough?

The price shown on AC's site includes a 20% VAT (tax). This will be deducted if shipping outside Europe. The Euro is about $1.40 right now, so it is almost the same as a wash.
I buy stuff direct from AC all the time. They basically have a E35.00 or $50.00 flat fee, but forget. I usually buy a bunch of stuff in one go to make the shipping cost melt into the background.

My comment was about SHIPPING costs; In my experience, when ordering from a European webstore, their advertised price (usually in Euro) includes VAT. The shipping from EU to USA is generally about the same as the VAT, so my comment was to assume that the price you see on the website is approximately what you'll pay to get the block shipped to you.
It looks like you've picked a pretty shitty time to want something from Europe; the CAD and the USD are both about equal (currently 1 CAD ~ .9977 USD -- close enough to a dollar that it doesn't matter) and are both trading at about 1.4 Dollars per Euro; About four years ago, the exchange rate was closer to 1.2 USD per Euro......
It's looking like the USD may well be going DOWN again soon too....
FUuuuuuuuu....
Still, MSRP on the EK 295 block is ~162 USD (at least according to Sidewinder), and thus after shipping that would work out to about the same 170 ish Dollars that the AC block is. Perhaps you should look around and see if any European sites have the AC block on clearance similar to how Gary has the EK block on clearance...

Ya, I was really leaning towards Gary because of price, but I sure like the looks of the AC. More options for routing for one thing, but it also looks kick-ass. I wonder which block cools better though.
