Downloaded that shit. I'm playing that shit, and well fuck me. My FPS is shit. In some areas I'm 60 and other I'd say I drop off to 40 if not 35. (I'll post the real numbers once I'm done studying...)
Goddammit Bethesda/Obsidian.
Anyone else having any issues?
And just for reference. i7 at 3.8GHz and I have a 5970 running at 800MHz, 6GB of ram, and windows 7 Pro 64 bit.
EDIT:
Quickly ran fraps. At the lowest I'm hitting 45 FPS.

The thing about the developer is that they make really good RPGs, but they're really buggy on release. It's just a fact.
They should patch it, but even then I'm not sure if they will. If Bioware couldn't get them to fix KOTOR II (which was a better game than the first, just really buggy), I doubt that Bethesda will have any more luck at getting them to.
At least one good thing about the studio is that you're getting a more 'true' Fallout experience, what with Obsidian (and Troika games) basically being the successors to Black Isle Studios (who made the original).
Hopefully Bethesda can get on their arses to get them to patch it, cause I want to play it, just not in this state.

There's a patch on one of the Fallout nexus' to fix the issue.

Wow mine isnt that bad!
I have AA and AF maxxed but I think my issue is my last gen hardware being pushed to its limits.

It's not last gen hardware lol. I run fine with everything on high, but with vsync turned off. Seems to run fine except I ran into somebody with a flamethrower last night and my framerate dropped way low(they were using a stealth boy as well). And that was the first time it's happened(amount of people isn't an issue because I got raped by 5 deathclaws just fine).
I'm using a 9800gt btw.

I am running two 480gtx cards in sli and have every setting maxed out (minus vsync) with 2560x1600 resolution. I used fraps and tried walking out of doc's house and noticed a range between 85 and 100 fps for the most part. The only "dip" in performance is when I walked through a dust devil and my frames dropped to 65 fps.
So all you whiny bitches need to :htfu: and go multi-gpu! :D

The game is running fine for me. Low lag. This is my old netbox with crap hardware though, and I don't care to get technical. Think it's an Athlon X2. With a GTX260.
My only complaint is the crashes. Obsidian did a great job building on top of Bethsoft's crappy foundation. Seriously put Bethsoft's efforts to shame. So much more depth and detail, and so much more of interest. But yeah, it's buggy. Steam says I have 102 hours logged on it this week.

Mines working fine now after the patch came out and I updated my drivers. I've logged 34 hours so far. Too much fun.

I've been experiencing that "disappearing companion" bug. Took me forever to get ED-E back after sending him to the Lucky 38.
Also, some of the melee special attacks are overpowered. I killed a Legendary Deathclaw yesterday, with a golf club. "Fore!" is unblockable.
