The Straight Truth About Coolants

Ok so I've always been a fan of pure distilled, its no hassle, its easy to get, cheap, and safe. Now maybe Im going insane, but I really want to do orange on black for my next build, and I want to know a few things about pre-mixed coolants.

Questions:

Do the newer coolants like feser still cause gunk buildup in your loop?

Are they still 100% non conductive like pure distilled?
Can I still run a silver coil in it?
If I drink a bunch of it and throw up will it look like halloween?
Does it effect temperatures negatively in any way?
Will it ruin my hardware long term (pump and radiator mostly?
If I spray down a hot chick with huge tits with it, will it make her taste like oranges?
Any particular suggestions for which ones to use and which ones to stay away from?
If I piss in it what color will it turn?

In some cases it has, but I dont know if it was because of other residue left in their loops.. so thats a maybe

I believe it is the same.. the non-conductive test they did was the same result as distilled, beer, milk, soft drink and a few other things they tested with ;)

I dont see why not, It shouldn't change anything with Feser One.

If you drink a bunch of it Im sure you would throw up it will be UV orange in places... mixed with some green/yellow of course from your bile...

Yes it does, but only minimal, but distilled is the king still ;)

It will probably aid your pump as a lubricant... we all like abit of lube :rolleyes: as for your rad I would flush it very thoroughly if you decide to change it later ;)

I am gonna have to say stay away from alphacools one, I have seen that gunk up bad, PC ICE bombs could work in distilled?! I haven't tried yet... but Feser One seems to be the best Premixed coolant out atm...

1. This is a marketing scheme, none of these fluids are truly %100 non conductive, it's all BS

3. Only if you suck off a jackolantern at the same time.

4. These coolants do not transfer heat as well as pure distilled. What type of an impact, or how big will this impact be? In most cases negligible (1-3C)

5. Nope, don't think so.

6. Only if you use sunny D, or some variant of KY Orange lube.

7. Uhh.... well IMO I wouldn't touch any of them with RR's dick, and that thing has touched just about everything so uhhhhh yeah.

I've been using FeserOne for a long time... never had any problems, cools really well, offers a variety of colours (although the black coolant that turns clear blue under UV stains everything), it's cheap and it smells really nice.

For one you need to tone it down abit & 2 giving Red the finger isn't something I'd suggest. Not sure what your speaking of that you went through today dude but taking it out on a forum isn't the way to go imo. Been there done it doesn't help.

Now that the economy has went south, I have every customer and their mother trying to bend me over on price. It's like corporate extortion. I mean leverage is one thing, but taking unfiar advantage is another. These corporate cocksuckers are having a feild day with my rev.

Red, I would honestly welcome this idea right about now, Im good with people face to face, and Ive had quite a few long-standing jobs in tech support. That being said, people in general suck, and I feel you're pain having had to deal with already pissed off customers 14 hours a day.

I've used PC Ice, non-staining for the most part, didn't separate and I was pleased with temps. Is my piece on distilled as a coolant in the sticky yet?

Bringing it back on track a little as it could be a pretty useful thread.

Personally, i'm going dual loop with blue and green Feser for my latest build and also re-hosing the Skulltrail and adding the same to that as the previous deionised and UV dye mix is starting to look a little faded and want it to look its best at CeBIT.

Feser pre-mix will also fade colour over time but can be rejuvenated with the Feser concentrate when needed.

I've been using the Feser UV Black/Blue in the Yamaha Stacker (http://www.coolercases.co.uk/rossi_replica/Stacker_11.jpg) which hasn't faded at all or shown any signs of discolouring blocks or hose in over a year so i'm happy to try blue and green.

Don't think i would be adding any PT Nuke or Kill Coils........never been a believer in either tbh

My only other experience has been with Fluid XP+ which was like treacle and cracked the Acrylic tops (http://www.coolercases.co.uk/images/ek/ek_broke_2.jpg) on EK blocks so will never be using that again :mad:

The PC Ice/PC Chill-whatever I used was non staining, but the dye separated from the mix over time.
I managed to get some crud in my loop using Feser, but the loop was run filthy before that and mixes metals. I also forgot to wash out my radiator.
...I probably got some spit in the loop too.:D
