Anyone know when this is supposed to come out? They said after chinese new year, that's come and gone by weeks and I still cant find a release date or anyone with it in stock. Any news, or did they cancel it or what?

Somewhere close to 'free' at least, there'll probably be a little bit extra money you'll need to pay.
But thats what step-up is, say if you buy a gtx285 for say $400, you decide you want to get a GTX295 but they cost like $500 (guessing price lol...), within 90 days of your purchase of the GTX285 from EVGA you can step up for the difference of $$ to the GTX295.
This goes for mobo's too of course. :up:

It's not free. You would pay the difference between the two boards. Like this:

EVGA X58 (non FTW) : $299.99
EVGA X58 FTW : ~$450.00

You would pay the difference between these two, which would be: ~$150.00

So in the end you still end up paying the exact same amount of money, just over an extended period of time.

First, make sure you are fully registered. The step up list is going to be very long. Demand is heavy. Don't be surprised if you get your mobo delivered in May.

This board is made in the Far East, so North America is going to get it last, as usual. I hear $450 to $500 for the mobo, a tad more than the Asuck Wankage II Extreme.
