I awoke this morning to find my computer with a BSOD, its really my first BSOD with my new mobo i'm running(DFi x48 DK T2RSB Plus), i was still waking up and by impulse reaction i reset the computer without reading the BSOD error as i also did not have my glasses on. I then try to reboot my computer and i get stuck at the DFi ABS screen and i hear what sounds like my something booting up and then automatically shutting down. I look on my mobo diagnostic leds and i see error code "75" which means hard drive error. I pulled the raptor out of the drive bays and laid it flat on the table then power it up. It spins up but the head starts to seek then it moves back to where it started immediately. I'm thinking that the hard drive somehow came unplugged during the night and fried it, which would be my worst fear at the moment, i'll embed a video to show what it is doing soon.

does anyone else have any other ideas for me, My pc has been down for 48+ hours so far and the only reason why its a priority is its my main crunching rig. Any help would be greatly appreciated

If you RMA this, you will get a Velociraptor 300 Gb instead. A coworker just learned that today while calling WD for his dead Raptor X.

SATA cables are notoriously flaky. Reseat both ends and try again, then replace SATA cable and try again. Hopefully it's that simple.

That being said, I have had to RMA 3 150GB Raptors out of 8 in the last two years.
