I found this NEW product at EK WaterBlocks (http://www.ekwaterblocks.com)...

EK's Description:
New EK-BAY SPIN Reservoir - Acetal is not just same boring reservoir. Reservoir is made of quality POM Acetal or Acrylic with Acrylic top 5mm thick. The water flows over the flow indicator which shows the water is actually circulating in the system. Water flows then to waterfall on front Acrylic cover of the into the reservoir. On top of the reservoir is G3/8 plug to fill/refill the reservoir with cooling liquid. Reservoir only has to be put into an empty 5 1/4 slot. No boring or sawing is necessary. The reservoir is to be closed with enclosed plugs, thus a closed system arises. No water can evaporate which makes the annoying refilling unnecessary.

yeah I was looking at that... I wonder how restrictive it is???

I think eddy just earned back his brownie points in my book with this one. As long as the QC is good and the design is low restriction.

ooh, perdy. I actually quite like the Delrin one.

Even if it has minor restrictive points, these materials are very easily machined.

hmmm.... TOTALLY not what i was expecting from the title.

I like the delrin one if it's not restrictive.

Hmmm ... it wouldn't take much to put a few thin reflective lines on the backs of those blades, add an optical pickup, throw in a small circuit to scale the impulses according to a calibration curve and you'd have a nice flowmeter to boot.

Id like to see a vid of one running
there is no baffle to prevent bubbles... that waterfall would probably stir up the water nicely

just fill it completely?

looks nice but i still prefer their multi-res
ek could've provided other option to have it mounted somewhere else other than the drive bay though.

i like the idea of the waterfall. i sincerly dont like the shape of the impellers tho.

BTW ppcs has them in stock:

the impeller is fine, probably designed that way to be least restrictive to water flow...

Personally, I wouldn't buy this...;)
