If I had the money, hell yes. I've missed my Model M so badly and desparately want a mechanical keyboard again... unfortunately it's not in the cards right now...

I'm sure it's a nice KB, but I'm surprised that anything with Cherry MX switches would be called "Silent". I have a Deck Legend KB with Cherry MX switches (not sure what color), and it's pretty loud. Feels great though...

Touch typing my friend ;)

As for it being silent, I kno its just referring to there being no click like the other Das boards. For your Deck, its probably MX Blacks which are linear, non tactile and considering, they are pretty quiet. The sound u hear is the plastics hitting from the keycap, not the switch. The less you bottom out the switch, the quieter it will get.

i would buy this if they invented a silent mouse (ie it clicks but silently)

Cherry MX makes a bunch of different switches. :) All have a different tactile feel. All different noises. All mechanical and awesome. :)

It's by all means not "silent" but it's certainly a hell of a lot quieter than the Vanilla S model. It's all relative :D

This is probably the keyboard I'm going to get to replace my ABS M1, or a Filco but this keyboard's going to my office soon.

Blue, how do you like the ABS? I've heard it's a great board for a budget mechanical. I've been contemplating also the Deck keyboards. They're rated pretty highly. I'd still almost kill for an original Model M... I miss mine so...
