I have friends with 200GB's of songs in itunes, I think he needs more. xD

But seriously, thats like... my dream room man, I especially just love the walls slanted over like that, it just gives you the feeling of like a 'shack', or something....
Someday, gonna take my wife out in the country, pick a spot, and build a house. :D

yeah i have about 15-20Gigs in songs, if your talking movies im pushing 120+ Gigs thankfully my 640 Gig storage drive accomodates for that but if you need more space. Western Digital just launched a 2 Tb hard drive for ~$300

I just purchased the house about two months ago and starting finishing right away. Its a full walkup attic. Its a nice size room 35*14.....It took me a while to finish it but now its done so let the build begin.

Yes I am a little concerned about that also but I have to Floor AC units (Portable Kind) one for each window. I think that should do the trick.

yes, i see not too concerned with electric bills though... hehehe...
when the hotter ambient comes, it'll probably be best to lessen this nice overclock...
my temp limit is 60C, very conservative for a q6600...

Ok, first... I looks like it's going to be a nice build...

Now, the really dumb question... What kind of desk is that.. I've been looking for one just like it..... And, I really like how the case fits "UNDER" the desk...

Right now, I've go a beat up old 6ft fold up table as my side turn, and i"ll have to put the case on TOP of it....

Just haven't seen an L shaped desk in which the "L" was as long as this..... I've only seen the one's with enough room for a printer....

hehe Mac...Mac.... PC with Mac keyboard..... heh just looks a little funny....

Don't worry, not making fun.... I'm typing this on my Macbook Pro...

The desk brand is Bush, Business Series "C". The main desk is 72L by 30d and the return is 48L by 24d. I looked and looked for a desk but this is my favorite by far. I have the matching storage cabinet coming. The desk is well made and is very heavy.

yah man np, I got that imac given to me by my aunt as a going away to college present, and thats when I had the old keyboard for it, I bought the mac keyboard on the right because tbh, its one thing I feel mac has done right, those keyboards are fucking nice, the base is made out of a solid piece of machined aluminum, and it has two usb ports tucked away underneath, as well as the fact that the buttons are quite large makes it perfect for me. If you have $50 to blow on a keyboard, get one, they are worth every penny and type like a dream. As Im a coder, having a good keyboard is very important to me. Ive tried lots of keyboards, and that one is hands down the best one Ive ever used.

Mac also makes the best laptops, as long as you put windows on them xD lol.

My L desk is actually long enough to fit a printer and a PS3, and a wii and an xbox 360 all on one side :) Its really gonna get tested soon though cuz Im getting a 30" S-PVA monitor soon :)

Thanks, I'll look that up.... Look you said, I've looked and looked for the right desk, and was going to have one made... Although, my setup now lets me put ALL of my radios (shortwave and scanners) on the table, plus a laptop, and probably my printer as well, if I move something around....

have you ever noticed it's hard to find the "perfect" desk??? I'd love to have a big 'ole executive main desk and return, but they are crazy expensive... My father in law has a desk that must be, literally 8-10 FEET wide, and 4 FEET deep..... Almost could pass for a conference table, but just a regular desk..... it's HUGE!!!!

I can't wait to see the rest of the build come together... Like you, I have only nights to work on mine. It's been sitting around for months and months... Heck I got my Ascension back in September, and I've hardly even even started anything...

Good luck..

soooo love how you did the Ped, was thinking the same thing but with 2 pumps in series with the rads.

Intake and exhaust front and back or both rads pulling in?

Very nice.

Have you given any thought about how you'll let air into the ped to feed the rads? I've pretty much done the same thing, and the rads are tight up against the front and back. Sort of restricts the air flow and will make a difference in temps if air isn't let in properly to flow across the front of the rads.

Im going to cut a 120mm hole in one side of the ped for one of the San Aces but the other will be just a blank with a fan filter. I cant put fans on both side due to the drain. Both of the rad are pushing out of the ped. If it doesnt work out I will put some low speed fans on the bottom of the ped.

Very nice.

Congratulations. I am maximally jealous of your case (which my wife's not allowing me to have).

What's that second case? Is it a LL 343B (I see the familiar fan filters)?

You sure there's enough ventilation between the ceiling of the case and the bottom of the desk? Won't the desk surface get hot?

You sure you have proper electric service up to that attic? I see only one outlet, but at least it looks like its a 3 prong. My friend moved into an old home with only antique two prongs lol

The second case pictures is an MM Extended Ascension for my next build which will be for the I7.
I should have plenty of ventilation because I dont have solid side I have the same sides as the top which are triple fans....Plus I might raise the desk about an inch with the levelers...

When I was finishing the Attic I ran 2 new 110 lines up just for the computer and accessories...There were also to other runs allready up there one for each side so power will not be a problem....The home is brand newso the old style plugs are not an issue.

Congratulations. I am maximally jealous of your case (which my wife's not allowing me to have).

Taking the old heatpipe off was really easy just some screws on the bottom....The Bitspower NB/SB was a bitch aleast for me beasue it has be maneuvered around the PCI slot and in doing so it move the thermal pads around. You will set each block on then slide the top spacer in and put the bottom bolt in. Its a pain beacuse they slide around. It took some time but just be patient...Good Luck

Im going to have some Custom decal's made up for the backside of the San Ace's in the front of the case. If I knew I was going to use dual rads on the CPU I would had ordered the side with rad mounts.

Yeah I guess there's no way around it. They should definitely do a better job of cleaning them before they sell them if at all. But I guess it gives us one more thing to do, do again, and redo.:D

I love this build and the room setting because it is the same type of room as my third story guitar hideout. The wood floors are great for audio, and it's quiet and isolated from the rest of the house. I absolutely despise carpet. I have oak floors throughout my home.

Very clean appearance and I love your desk. I have a large desk too, but it is not an L-shape, which I am really longing for. Would be nice to have my current finished system and then a test bench on the L section.

I look forward to seeing your progress and success!

My only critique, not enough Bitspower
Looks awesome, classy looking (apart from maybe the DD waterblock, but sometimes you've got to put reliability above aesthetics).

I like the DD block but I wish I had waited to for the Heatkiller one becuase it looks bad ass....You can never have enough bitspower.....

The room is mine, its my mantown......No wife allowed becuase if she were to go up there I would be in trouble becuase she would start asking were did you get all this stuff you didnt have that. This space is my gaming room and a place for me to relax.

Same thing here. I have my mini boxing gym for the winter up there, my guitar equipment, and all my computer bullshit. It's my happy place.:D

But theres a lot of awsome builds on here and some members have great modding skills. The one thing nice about MM cases it that they dont require a lot of modding. I still couldnt power the fucker up this weekend do to some much needed family time....

Hey why did you swap from the XSPC res pump top?

I'm not a fan of mine but it is very cost effective and performs well.

I just couldnt get one of them to bleed correctly, it could of been that it was at the bottom of the loop, but I tried everything. I ran it for 3 days still getting air pockets....The other two were okay but not great. I changed over to the Micro Res and within 10 min there were good to go. They dont look as good but they work well. My next build Im giong with EK...

Ahh ok. That's funny cause I think most people will say they are one of the easiest res to bleed. The EK ones look great but are much harder. Why can't we have a nice looking medium :(.

A few of the forum members had similar problems as I have....I not impressed with XSPC qulality control. I have 4 of these Restops and they are all different, one larger, one smaller, one taller and the pump cutouts are all different. The pump cutout could be the problem causing some sort of cavitation but Im no expert....
