what did you do to get your pcmark 05 score to work?? mine always gives me N/A scores. Also looks like I am having hard drive failure either on my main drive or my benching drive not sure gotta check, but soon as I get a cpu of my own to fuck up I'll nock you down a couple pegs, currently working on 2 things, 1: 1156 DICE POT, 2: a contraption to run my ac to my RAD for my gpu's, how th fuck did you get such a low pifas score??

yeah because you have 4 threads he has 8, but your system would compete with other Q6600's and say you ran 3dmark 05 you would compete with other people using GTX275's, its not just setup for whoever is the fastest wins its basically setup to run gainst people with the same hardware

I just ran the test. I didn't have to do any thing out of the norm to get it to work that i can remember.

As well i just wanted to see some new numbers. That's why I posted this + I wanted to get some people involved in benching that normally wouldn't be.

* PCMark 2005 - 15670 marks
* PiFast - 18.86 sec
* SuperPi - 8sec 678ms
* SuperPi 32m - 8min 10sec 974ms
* wPrime 1024m - 2min 49sec 911ms
* wPrime 32m - 5sec 439ms

I should take you up on the challenge all my cups are with winprime and superpi :D

LOL no cheating here. We had a long talk before about cheating and I don't even use set lod for my scores.(as far as I know it only works on ati cards any way) The only program I use is game booster.

Bring it on guys. Lets get this going. By the way I'm not bragging. I just want to fire you guys up. I know one of you will take the scores from me and its about time some one did it.

By the way those scores have been up for over 2 months now. I set those back in May if I remember right.

Sorry to hear your having trouble with your hard drives. Microcenter has some on sale if you have one of their stores near you.
Yes I'm running win 7 and yes I do have an ssd X25-M80GB. I didn't have the ssd in the computer at the time these test where run tho. These test where run on win 7 with a single 1TB barracuda. There is nothing really extreme about any thing in my computer other than the overclocks. I run the cheapest i7 cpu they make and my ram is the cheapest corsair 1600MHz they have. It has been a long time goal of mine to use some of the low priced hardware and make it run better than the high end hardware. I know not much related to i7 is cheap but compared to the $1000.00 cpu and the $500.00 ram my system is from the bargain bin.

PCMark05 and set LOD will yeild nothing
Iram will give the biggest boost but cost $$, virtual ram drives are the ticket and a with some work you can find a free one. I do have a tweak that can offer you around a 2000 point gain and is legal but I'd rather not share it in public, if you want to pm or hit me up on Google I'll fill you in.

Raid0 will definately help you so get off a single drive or at least short stroke the bitch.

I was going to do a post about short stroking but figure every one knew about that already. It works really well but you end up with a very small drive in the end. But it is fast. What I do is make 3 partitions on one drive and install to the second partition and then go back and delete the first and last partition but do not extend the partition that is left. this gives you a small partition that takes less time to read across. I installed the 32-bit version of media encoder and that seemed to fix the errors I was having.

I submitted a PCMark05 of 11494, good enough for 3.7 HWbot points due to the processor selection. ;)

Now to figure out if I'm on the correct RRTech team...

just submitted a 13k pcmark05 not bad, not great either, got knocked down a peg in 3dmark vantage single card rankings. for some reasong when I enable turbo my pc goes nuts! was working fine before I pushed the fuck out if it, something is not right. i'm hoping its the board and not the cpu because the cpu is loaned.

Well the original point of HWBOT was to have a hardware database, so the submitted result has value for the database but not for the team points.

Best bet is to bench because you want to, because it is fun. Benching just for the points is not my idea of fun.

Yes i do 3D but the 295 I'm running now is still waiting on a water block so Im on air for now and cant really push it as hard as I would like. I have a few more months with this card and then Ill be moving to the 480's or what every the new card is at the time. LOL I was just giving you guys shit. Those scores have been up for over 2 months now. I just wanted to get you guys fired up and benching even if it is just to beat my scores. We need the team points more than I want to be on top of the list.

yep its crunching away right now at 4.46GHz but wont go any where near the 4.6 to 4.7 range any more. It could possibly be my ram as well. Im only running the corsair xms3 1600 cas 9 kit and it doesn't like to go much past 1700MHz and 4.7GHz is pushing 1795MHz @ 1.709V or some where close to that. Any ideas where to go from here?

Clearly not too many submissions in that category, but another 1.5 points either way. I'm going to clean up in some categories. In the next week or two I'll fire up the dual X5160 with SLI'd FX4500s and pretty much own all the scores for those processor and graphics categories.

I'm looking for a good dice pot but I dont want to sell a kidney to get it
eraser and foam is already here, the pot I did have orderd was not a wise choice so I canceld the order, the base is too big and condensation forms on the dimm slots

A second hand pot is a good option - there are quite a few on offer last time I looked and they go quite cheap. Any of the early Evo pots will be great for starters.

Just buy a 30 gig SSD if you want to mess around with optimizing your disk substructure, much easier.

It should be the middle so it has a shorter stroke to the beginning and the end of the partition. Faster read times on normal drive for a lot less money than an ssd but still not ssd speed. But if you raid them like that it gets closer.

I would search around ebay if you guys really want a ln2 dewar. I got my chinese ghetto dewar for $100 shipped from florida all the way up the east coast. Just one piece of advice, make sure to find out whether or not the vacuum is still good in any dewar your buy!

oh also I was looking and it will only take about 200pts to get us into the top ten on hwbot w00t! only like 40 more till we lap another spot

I can get a dewar here local and its no where near $100.00. More like $45.00 but thats just the size of a 3 liter bottle but I only live about 100 yards from the airgas shop.

Yes that is correct. If you read the article that explains how the 3rd generation of HWBOT points revision works it will all make sense. Well maybe. It took me a few weeks of pondering to get it.

Short version is this.

You get one shot at global points. That is your best score.

The other scores you get with different hardware are added to your total till a maximum of 300 points (Hardware points - if my memory serves) that contribute to your team but not to your global score. There after I get a bit lost and just trust in the system getting it right.

Nope not the same thing - he is wondering why a higher clock performs slower. The reason is to do where the memory changes ratio and how to fix that. That is why I needed his CPU-z shots.

the voltage is incorrect it reads screwy for some reason, real voltage is 1.35V still not bad. im goin to re start this with a higher QPI link strap, I have it on the lowest one right now because I hear it oc's the best on lower QPI

OMFG! so turning the QPI freq up past 3.2GT/S in bios makes it no post in windows, im going to research somewhere I think i remember readin the bios im using have non working QPI settings.
