ok so I need some major help. Im going for a new build.
for starters heres what I have.
Intel Q6600 VID: 1.215v good for 4.2GHZ benching
Maximus 2 Formula
4GB Tracer REDS
2X HD4850 512 visiontek
Ultra X3 1000w psu
Rocketfish
my dilema is:
should I get
1: Q9650
2Xhd4870 1GB
and a new kick ass case
or
2: i7920
2X 9800GX2
DFI LP X58
??? I'm kinda thinking keep 775 till P55 comes out
Plus this rocketfish kinda pisses me off Whatcha think guys?!?!? Please dont say i7 just cuz it's new cuz that means nothing to me I know the 9650 will clock just as high or higher than the i7 920 so thats not an issue please help and give supporting reasons

Get a better case, MM FTW. Computer hardware comes and goes man, it get's outdated the minute you push the buy button, good cases don't. If it were me, I would get a bad ass case, then with whatever money is left over start upgrading hardware from there.

Speaking as someone who owns a MM case, yes it's worth it. But think long and hard about what you really want, think about future upgrades and how much room you will need. I have had my Custom UFO for 2 years now and absolutely love it. I do want a CYO Ascension myself b/c I have completely run out of room in my current case, but I still love it. A computer case is a good investment, if done right and planned right it can last you for a very long time. That was my whole purpose for buying a MM case, longevity. This case should serve my basic needs for another 3-4 years. When I do decide to get another, I'll be upgrading to a case more like RR's and Big_Daddy's.

build your own bench table... some old removable mobo tray, or 1/2thick plywood and some alum bars...
