I received my intel x25-v ssd drive and I am contemplating on mounting it on the access backpamel to my cpu on the 800D case. I am thinking of getting industrial velcro to mount it. This is my first ssd harddrive and I don't think I have to worry about heat being put off by it.

Has anyone else done this? What's your thoughts on this idea?

It should work fine and I don't think they put off any heat since there are no moving parts. Velcro should be ok but just don't try to mount a rad with it.

Funny thing about that is I remember when the stacker came out and I saw that video of danger den doing that and was like wtf that looks like fucking shit. To date he can't seem to build a decent looking wc case to save his life.

I saw the same video.

they produce heat but just a little bit (4 watts tops?) they do fine encased in laptops so i imagine any amount of heat transfer would be ok.

technically processors have no moving parts...

heat is #1 killer on electronics, thats fine as long your not going to hike it to a lan party

That is true I wasn't thinking about that really. But mine never even gets warm so I guess it depends on the drive.

LMAO this case is freaking huge......I would need a wheel dolly to cart it to a LAN party.

I was not able to get to store to get supplies so I just threw the damn thing on the bottom removable hd tray.

When price comes down I will probably get a larger ssd and throw the x25v on that cpu backplate.
