Besides the bling factor of Nickel Plating, is there any other real benefit? I am considering Nickel plating my Supreme, but I just want to see what people think of Nickel plating? I have never tested Nickel plating blocks back to back with their copper variation

the main reason to nickel plate is for corrosion protection

I got a full set of EK blocks nickel plated so no ketchup for me :)

As for performance, there is only microns covering the copper so there would be no effect on performance

I wonder if its worth buying my own Nickel plating setup?.... worth a thought I can imagine, because Im sure over time it would pay for itself :)

Wow, those nickel plated Aquatubes from Shoggy's link... doesn't get more exclusive than that, does it.
I assume that those are already ultra-rare copper tubes to begin with...

LOL yeh nasty and chemicals normally go hand in hand, personally I dont mind high risk stuff, I used to do confined space demolition, you make a mistake and you dont go home
I think it would be cheaper in the long run, Plus you dont have to wait for it to be done, if you want one barb done or whatever its not some insane price, because I know $50 for all that isnt much, but for $200 you have a kit, so in 4 builds you have paid it off... thats my thoughts anyone, would love to hear anyone elses opinions.

I know Petra was kicking it around, and even copper plated a nickel to prove it could be done at home...

There's also the silverplating baths that are used in music instrument repair, could be worth looking into. I may be going that route myself...
