Well i'll post it here.

Im doing some work on it right now.

But basically i wanted a cooling station that could rival Big Slappy, and Cyberdruid in capacity.

This lead me to the construction of project oracle, however i think i may change its name to something else cutier.

Anyhow, my original idea was drawn as a sketch.
(this is how i do all my planning, i like to bust out a pencil and ruler :T)

So Next was parts collection:

The Radiator Cooling Core is consisted of 2 x Fesser 480's.

Driving these radiators is 8 stacked San Aces.

So Together it looks like this:

And yes its pretty darn Big:

Dont know if you guys saw this, but my DDC sink.

UGH sorry slappy, i havent had time to sit and mail your sink out yet.

More to come later on....

Damn!!!

That's quite a wind tunnel between the rads.

RedRaider

That is INSANE.... :omg:

bigslappy

all those fans STACKED like THAT !!!
seems redundate
??????

& don't tell me yer gonna run a DDC with that setup ............

I'm pretty sure the fans do have a cumulative effect when combined like that.

I warning U
I'm gonna post pix of my Blower
need i remind u it's

wait hold it a second ...............

bigslappy
11-22-2008, 06:55 PM
& don't put 90's on there.............
face the inlets/outlets at each other & run a hose from one straight into the other ..........
then have the tubing just clear the rads coming & going

NAekuh
11-22-2008, 10:10 PM
ahahhahahhaa still working on the tubing...

As for Pumps, gonna dual up ddc's.

Septim

never noticed those orange screws before - snazziness!!

um... hmmmn, honestly fastener fashion critique is about all I can contribute. This setup just kinda freaks me out. I'm really looking forward to seein' it come alive. (From a safe distance;))

seems if I remember my Jet engine training correctly you need some room between fans as in a turbo fan engine the fans all sit on a single shaft & have to spin at the same exact speed OR u get turbulance as in small eddies, swirls ,vortexes that will slow the airflow & cut the static pressure use fan>rad>should>fan>should>rad>fan
the DDl row of fans will hurt the air flow & are a waste of expensive fans

it's a great idea but think over what i have pointed out ...

BTW what Rad is that ??

NAekuh

the front 25mm are gutted as shrouds.

so its shroud 38mm 38mm shourd.

I figured this way i got the most static at the center also.

And there fesser 480's.

bigslappy
11-24-2008, 01:03 PM
then stick another row of blanks shrouds inbetween the 38mm ace sans & Viola no turbulace & increased pressure

Septim
11-24-2008, 05:47 PM
hmm you mean shroud 38mm shroud 38mm shroud?

CrixD

This is Sparta? :p

But seriously. The wind tunnel is completely mad o.o

bigslappy
11-26-2008, 02:54 AM
No
yate loon >rad >san ace > Shroud > san ace> shroud > rad > yate loon

it's the pushing that creates the turbulace when the blades of the fans are to close together just an inch will even that pressure out & stop the turbulance

the rads act like a shroud would

RedRaider

IMO, "pull" is the way to go...

bigslappy
11-26-2008, 12:01 PM
I agree RRR but he wanted a set of Y/l on the out sIde of the 1st rad

AND to claerefiy my post i mean pull all the way on the setup I suggested
with the only the 1ST set of Y/L's doing any pushing !! pushing air thru a Rad is fer Girly Men

here's clearly wat I mean =
the BEST set up using all those fans would be
cold air >> YL>RAD>SHROUD>SAN ACE>SHROUD>SAN ACE>SHROUD>RAD>YL >> hot air

i tried that san ace - san ace open air

seems like it was weaker when they were stack right next to each other. will try again with a shroud in between and feel the difference...

No yate loon >rad >san ace > Shroud > san ace> shroud > rad > yate loon

it's the pushing that creates the turbulace when the blades of the fans are to close together just an inch will even that pressure out & stop the turbulance

the rads act like a shroud would

Wouldn't even need to do that.

fan/rad/fan/dud/fan/rad/fan would work just as well would it not?

That way the 2 fans in the middle are separated.

Also I though when in push pul config the fans all had to be uniformly the same unless these are same speed ect?

bigslappy
11-27-2008, 12:21 PM
the 2nd ace san would be right up agiast the rad with the motor housing creating a dead spot , bring it back off the rad an inch = No Dead spot as the pressure evens out ..

also u really don't need the Y/L's on the 1st part as they also would creat a dead spot that close to the rad

Sniper
11-27-2008, 12:29 PM
Ah so with that should All rads have some kind of a shroud then?

bigslappy
11-27-2008, 12:34 PM
yeah putting the Y/L 's on is over kill & might cut flow as if they are not moving air as fast as the San Aces the they would hurt the air flow

bigslappy
11-27-2008, 12:43 PM
Yes in a perfect world all fans should have a shroud ,when just a fan is pulling off of a rad it (the fan )does give u a small advantage as there is alittle "even out" area

and the best shrouds are NOT dud fan enclosures when pulling off the Rad the BOX works the best when pulling off an rad as then there are no dead spots at all .. my new build will have this as i'm modding up 1 inch box full Rad cover shrouds for my tri fan rads out of 1/4" sheet PVC (that stuff is easy to glue & cut with no cracking issues )

now on NeuKah's wind tunnel the duds work best in the middle between the fans as then they concentrate the air flow but when u get back to the Rad a box shroud will all ways move more air across the full face of the rad

bigslappy, i myself prefer those full cover DIY shrouds, as with one you could make the fan spacing standard 15mm.. hehehe...
