had a close call yesterday... the Aircon packed it in while I was out and ambient temps inside my loungeroom got up to 32degC!!! I got home to find my water temp at 51!!!

I shut down my PC and left the pump running with an ice pack on the res... Damn I hate summer... a phase unit is looking like a better option every day

Hmmmm ... 32ºC sounds like nice weather to me !
Snow storm hitting us here. Expecting a high of -8ºC tomorrow with a foot ( 30+cm ) of snow overnight tonight.

I like your problems better ! :D

I know the shock ya felt. A couple of years ago, I came home to find my motherboard continuously chirping out some beep code on a dual Opteron-280 (Tyan S2895) rig. When I looked inside, the pump had failed, and temps had evidently gotten so bad that a hose end had actually softened and blown off it's compression fitting on one of the all-copper Cuplex CPU blocks I was using! Water all over the place; CPU's cooled by nothing but hunks of copper. After my heartbeat settled back down to a sensible level, my first reaction was to write off the whole rig, thinking it was toast. But days later, after replacing the pump and tubing and drying everything out with a hairdryer, I was amazed to discover that everything booted up normally.

Hope your rig is OK ...

had another meltdown yesterday... we are in the middle of a heatwave and ambient was about 38... I dont know what temp the coolant was but the acrylic on my 8800s softened and sprung a leak.

Bricked 3 300GB Raptors and a dlink wireless n card... I switched back to the stock cover for my EK-FC8800s... I could only find one of them so im not even running SLI now :'(

Gona see if I can get some more covers from eddy
