The megalodon costs 135 euros. So not more than 135. :)

Well my BEST suggestion to u is this (if u can find them in the Netherlands)
AD700s (http://www.amazon.com/Technica-ATH-AD700-Audiophile-Headphones-Neodymium/dp/B000CMS0XU/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1272143587&sr=8-1) and Zalman clipon (http://www.amazon.com/Zalman-Microphone-Zm-Mic1-Sensitivity-Headphone/dp/B00029MTMQ/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1272143619&sr=8-1)
Those should cover any audio wants. Ur dealing with a nice audiophile style headphone with high clarity, amazing comfort, good quality (better than any of that plastic gaming crap) and amazing soundstage. Plus, it will take care of those times when u just want to listen to tunes. Its the best thing u can get in my opinion, but do bear in mind they are open so there will be sound leakage. If the noise in the room is a problem, then i can find an alternative
Edit: o, and /thread xD

Are the noises coming from the front audio panel?
Take a look at the connections...if it is the front. It a usb/data cable touches it, it will induce interference and u'll hear the data sending back and forth. Otherwise, it could be a driver thing or interference from the cpu processing etc.
Generally I would just stay away from any USB headphones. Like if i were to choose between the 2 Steelseries 5Hs, id stick with the 3.5mm. The USB ones just give an excuse to have a useless sound card and excuse when it stops working...i prefer just a straight audio cable.
And is there seriously a reason that ur so inclined to spend more for a worse product? U barely notice the clip on mic, u just tie it up with the headphone's cord. Plus its out of the way and personally has better audio than those crap boom mics on "gaming" headphones.

Yes u are probably right:) I dont know where the sounds are coming from. I notice when i open some kind of program it makes another noise.

Is it the front panel....u have the same issue I have with it...its just windows + interference. U might notice a buzz if u scroll or maximize and minimize...its all interference

I have and like the Creative Sound Blaster Arena Surround USB Gaming Headset (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16826158084&cm_re=sound_blaster-_-26-158-084-_-Product)
Good reviews, light, and comfortable. Got high ratings on a bit-tech review as well.
I got it for 50 bucks on sale from the egg a bit back. It was a shell shocker deal not long ago as well.

imho, i'd still rather use a proper sound card and headphone plug too it, rather than going with USB phones and speakers...
currently using a prelude and siberia headset, good enough for me...

I have same headset, for me it's the best one I ever had :p except for the noise it makes when I use the scroll wheel on my mouse. But I’m not sure if the cause of that is the headset.
There is better stuff out there but Price - Quality it think for me the Arena Surround USB Gaming Headset is the best.

My Sennheiser are doing fine but Logitech makes some of the best shit for PC's and they do it at an affordable price to boot (unless you get into their highend range but even then it isn't retardly high like others)
Speaking of Senn though you might want to check out the Sennheiser PC 350

That's my point...u say good for PC but since when is there good audio "for PC".
Good audio is good audio and logitech is crap in that boat (except they did pick up Ultimate Ears....). In any range, there is a better headphone out there that costs just as much and sounds better (in reasonable fields...i mean audio for $15 is just shit :ROTF:).
I have TONS of competitive gamer friends...they had Logitech, Razer Barracudas, Tritons...they all died. In the Razers, 2 friends had the sub blow while on their head. :shake:
I suggested them all to get the AD700s, they all say it sounds better, its more comfortable, better quality, and better positioning for FPS as well (even better than that 5.1 gimmicks). Plus u can still listen to music with it and have it sound better than garbage
Edit: Meh to the PC350...its decent, but they charge double markup for a closed HD555 with a mic. Save the $$$

I wasn't just talking about their audio but all their products.
And the I agree they are basically HD555 but 350 are only about $40 then the HD555 and to me they are more comfortable, look better and have a really good mic. If you got the HD555 or another headphone in that price range you would drop another $20 so on a GOOD mic. I rather spend a bit more to get it built in.
Plus and this is just my taste while I like audio technica and think they are great I prefer the sound of sennheiser. They sound a little richer across the board with the music I listen too an my ear. So I would still get the HD555 over the AD700 since they are the same price.

Meh, to each his own :D
I've heard a big divide when it comes to HD555s vs. AD700s. Different beasts in the same range.
Some of their products are good, i agree. They definitely put rubber dome keys in nice cases :p

Might just be me because I fucking LOVE klipsch speakers and people rag on me all the time about it because they sound to warm and 'horny' but I say fuck'em they sound good to me and my wallet is paying.

Klipsch are nice....i'm curious what they prefer?!
I mean there are better ones like Audioengine and Energy, but they are a totally different class and aren't really Desktop setups. I'd take the 2.1 Klipsch over the Logitech Z-2300 i have (got them LONG ago)

I have a pair Sennhieser PC350 - they are unreal.
Personally I would stay away from USB powered headphones
What about a Psyko 5.1 Gaming headset? I've heard pretty good reviews for it. Might be out of your price range though...
