ok my lian li reobus caught one fire today RIP it was a great fan controller lasted almost 3 years at full tilt, survived water spills tons of times various things dropped on it various mods but somehow it just went up in flames today. Soooooo.
Which one should I get??
Lamptron FC-4-
Sunbeam Reobus
Lamptron Hummer
Edit:
I know the reobus extreme is the titts, but I only have 25 maximus to spend thus why my options are these 3. so please dont say reobus extreme, as its quite depressing that I ccannot afford it right now

I vote Sunbeam because its cheap, can handle quite a few fans and can be modded very easy.

Have you checked out the Lamptron Fan Atic controller too? I have one and like it. Only problem for some is it's just a two way switch so you have either 12v or 5v (or OFF). But I trust it way more then any rheobus..

FC-4 or did you mean the FC-5?
The FC-5 is a pretty good choice if it's within your price range. I picked up one a while back and it's pretty well made, LCD readout, brushed aluminum face, etc. It can handle up to 30W/channel too I believe.
Anyways, of the ones you listed, I'd be inclined to probably say the FC-4 if you're sticking with those.

nope I meant the fc-4 its only 20w per channel but my lian li was only 20w and worked for what I needed it for. scratch the hummer out as an option because well looking at reviews it puts out to much voltage for fans and they just shut off when connected to it :( ill look at the FC-5 and the fan atic but I think the fanatic is just a tad to much :(

Wasn't it the Lamptrons that made the fans buzz when connected to it?
Besides that information, i still vote rheobus

I like the Sunbeam.
I have yet to hear a discussion about Lamptrons where squealing noises coming from the controller wasn't mentioned.

My Rheobus went up in flames a while back. I picked up an FC-5 but it doesn't work properly. After a while, the entire led lights up, I mean every single part of it that can light up, does.
I should have just gone with another Rheobus for under $20.

HA! looking at the sunbeam rheobusm it is exactly the same as my lian li rheobus! thats good news as I loved this controller it took a pounding and lasted forever! AND! I have spare parts! Wish I could just make my own as I have all the parts electrically to do it, but wouldnt know how to put them together and make them work, but I have switches rockers pwm modules resistors you name it I have it wish there was a decent guide somewhere
