View Full Version : Cinebench R11 thread, clock that bitch higher!
Thread is updated since the last program didnt support enough threads to satisfy the INSANE people with more than 16 threads on this site :crack: Now that we are starting from scratch, post, and claim your first place!
Admins should feel free to edit the results in, if i dont get my head out of my ass.
### note that 64 bit os´s, gives a higher score ###
there will be 2 sub catagory´s to compete in (phenom II and i7/i5, since this is the "newest and hottest") and a catagory with "other cpu´s" including multi systems, and i will update this post with the results.
Please post a picture of your score with all tests run (single cpu, multi cpu and gpu, so we can see what a single core also score) along with a cpu-z in the pic.
Furthermore, please write your result like this above/under the screenshot:

I noticed Grnfinger is running a lower res when he benchmarks does that improve perfomance, or is that just a myth? (nub question)
Grnfinger
04-14-2010, 11:02 AM
no my monitor is a 32" LCD 1360x768
wont go higher, I have to plug the 21" in for a higher res
you'll gain a few point but nothing to get excited about
ND40oz
04-14-2010, 01:04 PM
If you gain a few points, then it's not valid compared to the other scores. It would be like changing the res in 3dmark.
Grnfinger
04-14-2010, 01:09 PM
ffs
how does the res affect the cpu score in CB??????????? oh it dont
And seeing as my res is not posted in CB I would assume Kuro is referring to my 3dmark score as the res is 1280x768 giving a cool 200 extra points

Then say that the first time, you said "you'll gain a few point." What the fuck does that mean in English, it means you'll gain points in the performance score.

Yeah, I just did a reference run at 1920x1200 and then 1280x800 to see if there was a difference, it was only .02 higher on the CPU, so it definitely doesn't matter.
I even tried upping the thread count to 16 and got the same score, not sure if that's the benchmark normalizing it or if the windows scheduler is that good.

This form over at Bit-Tech...EVGA Classified SR-2 Overclocking (http://www.bit-tech.net/hardware/motherboards/2010/08/17/evga-classified-sr-2-review/4)
Original Post by Bit-Tech
This meant that using a QPI of 190MHz we were able to overclock a pair of mid-range Xeon X5650s from a comparatively stately 2.66GHz to a nippy 3.8GHz, vastly increasing the performance of the system in both single-threaded and multi-threaded applications and games. To stabilise this overclock we upped the vcore of each CPU to 1.4V, both VTTs to 1.45V, both banks of DIMMs to 1.66V and the IOH to 1.425V.
