Interesting... I haven't seen these yet. I like having "generic" blocks on the market, it helps us guys with unpopular mobos. :)

No wonder, those blocks are brandnew :) They´re available end of the week here in germany, so with a bit luck maybe 2-3 weeks later in the states. The universal mounting concept is not new, but it helps to save some bucks in the future, when changing the board, i like it :) What i miss are versions that are already nickel plated - would be a perfect match with my chrome Heatkiller 3.0

Aww, look at da wittle Heatkillers....
Guess it's nice to have these as an option. Thought we were kinda past the separate block thing though - they always seemed to get in the way of cards and stuff.
Looks like that board is missing some power management cooling.

it will work great for P55 where they have very little to no availability for full board blocks!

hmm. i have two heatkillers in the same box right now. perhaps i should take them out of their plastic bags and leave some marvin gaye playing so I can get some smaller ones?

I myself prefer full cover blocks that only cover both bridges with one piece. If only...

You mean that they work well for stuff like P55 boards that don't have any need for watercooling? Seriously, with P55, pretty much the entirety of the Northbridge is on the CPU package, and the Southbridge doesn't really need that much active cooling; really the only parts you'd need to WC are mosfets/vreg, and something like an NF200 if it had one.

If they had some universal mosfet/vreg blocks that would be cool as well.
Mini HKs so cute :D
:hmm: Could you mod one to cool an atom cpu?
