I see some veterans around (mcoffey & coolmiester) here using tie-wraps on their latest builds.

Do any of y'all use an installation tool to get them really tight. For example:

Please do not say to use compression fittings, I know already.

All I use are zip ties, and I tighten them by hand, and needle nose pliers.

I have one but they can be agressive sometimes even on the low setting, as in snapping your ties. I usually do my PC stuff by hand and only use my tensioner for AC wiring at work.

I always use a tie wrap tool called "The Gun" from Home Depot. It's the best one I've found. Even clamps down the 4" ties. Once I clamp down a tie on a BP 1/2 fitting with The Gun, I could pick the case up by the tubing and it won't come loose:D And I think they only cost 7-8 bucks.

Steel worm fittings on pumps & rads only .. compressions on the rest as those come out of the rad

I'd not do that as i'm a kill the pump heat dump 1st guy & that is also the reason i'm going with the HeatKiller's as the EK supreme is just way to much of a flow & pressure killer... My EK supreme is up for sale .. It's a golden gem EK supreme not borked like some of the others , the lowest temps i've ever got on any block but the chance of getting another like it is slim to none & i need two for my dual MoBo MM build soo i'm on the HeatKiller Boat

I've got the GUN too. Damn I love it. However, zip ties are for wiring...

Why would you need to use the, when needle nose pliers work just fine ???

I personally prefer it cause it's less effort. It's also like using a block and tackle-it multiplies force for you.
