Ok I have decided I will probably go with a classified while my good friend will be doing a R3E. This is gonna be fun seeing who can out do who in overclocking.
I would hate to buy a classified if a newer version (refresh) is coming soon. Has anyone heard anything?
Well the i7 platform was supposedly finishing soon

Ok got the classified install. Awesome looking board.
Now i seem to have a little problem. The post is WAY to fast. I know I should not be complaining and all but damn I don't get a chance to read anything on post.
Its like I turn the system on and says the speed of the processor and boom straight to the raid controllers and then windows. FAST I say FAST!!!
I don't even get to see if it sees my ram and what speed it is at.
So how can i slow that down so I can read it!!

If you can hit the Pause/Break key on your keyboard at the right time it'll pause the POST, and keep the screen at wherever it was when it saw your keypress.

or you can just check from within the bios m8

either I am blind or something but I don't see anything within the bios to slow it down.
BTW a mild OC i7-920 at 3.3, my water temp sits at 74 degrees and CPU at 33 degrees. Is that OK?

Idle temps don't mean jackshit.
Load up WCG and start crunching, 100% all cores, then report back with your temps...

I was on the FUCKING TEAM :D but due to new system build and problems, had to stop for awhile.

Those temps don't make any sense to me. Water temp is way too high - how are you measuring?

He just left work so he may not answer right away but I am pretty sure he is measuring the water from his FUFUFUFUFUFUFUFUFUFUFUFUFUFUFUFUFUFUFUFUFUFUFUFUFUFUFUFUFUFUFUFUFUFUFUFUFUFUFUFUFUFUFUFUFUFUFUFUKo olKRAPFUFUFUFUFUFUFUFU panel he installed in one of the 5.5 bays, not sure how he has the lead set up but he did say he just added a lead directly to the CPU which is where his 33 C reading is. I could be wrong through

That 74 degrees I bet is in F and not C.
Everyone should use C when dealing with PCs!
slpdLoad

74 F is 23 C, making the water colder than the CPU? Maybe that could be right if the room is cold and temps were taken immediately after the PC was turned on?
The 33 for the CPU sounds right, but water temp is usually 1-10 delta above that in my experience.

Good point. 74 is an odd number anyway you look at it really

the reading is what I am getting.
Yes, I am using a FUFUFUFUFUFUFUFUFUFUFUFUFUFUFUFUFUFUFUFUFUFUFUFUFUFUFUFUFUFUFUFUFUFUFUFUFUFUFUFUFUFUFUFUFUFUFUFUKo olKRAPFUFUFUFUFUFUFUFU reader but a Bitspower temp that is measuring the temp of the water after it leaves the res.
Right now it says my Water temp is 72c and my CPU is 31c. 72c sounds like the water is room temperature.

If you're using a BP temp sensor with a FUFUFUFUFUFUFUFU monitor, the temperature may read anomalously because the temp monitor isn't calibrated for the temp sensor you're using....
NeKoS

I rather not use FUFUFUFUFUFUFUFU but it is the only one I found that did what I exactly wanted. There are others that just were to much info. I wanted something simple. If Bitspower sold their own, I would have bought that.

25 C is a normal room ambient temperature
72 C is 161 degrees Fahrenheit. That's a bit high for a room temp, I'd say.
Something isn't compatible with something else and isn't reading things properly.

Dude, slp is right you dill LOL. The 74 is in Fahrenheit and the 33 is in Celsius
So this is what it's running all in Celsius
Water 23 C
CPU 33 C
Can you change that thing to read Celsius?

It is on Celsius...SLP is right 72c is 161 F that is correct, so the temps are right. South Florida is hot and humid. Unless I run my air conditioner at 60 these temps would be normal then.

The problem is between the chair and the keyboard.
Seriously, something is messed up bro, if your water is really at 72 Celsius, your stuff would be cooking

Like I said before, the FUFUFUFUFUFUFUFU part isn't calibrated properly for the BP sensor you are using, thus resulting in anomalous readings. It isn't that anything is broken, it's effectively that the FUFUFUFUFUFUFUFU part is expecting Latin, and the BP sensor is sending it Romanian.

That I can understand. So i either change my BP sensor to a FUFUFUFUFUFUFUFU one or see what reader BP recommends to use with their sensor.

just throw that FUFUFUFUFUFUFUFUFUFUFUFUFUFUFUFUFUFUFUFUFUFUFUFUFUFUFUFUFUFUFUFUFUFUFUFUFUFUFUFUFUFUFUFUFUFUFUFUKo olKRAPFUFUFUFUFUFUFUFU shit in the thrash bro...:bird:

Another thought, any chance you spliced the wiring on the BP sensor when you ran it to the "I aint gonna say it" display panel ?
Any change in the length of the wire will throw off the calibration.
NeKoS
03-14-2010, 11:50 AM
nope did not splice the wire on the sensor. FUFUFUFUFUFUFUFU is just piece of shit hardware.
SO any ideas what I should be using then peeps?

As far as I know, you can either go big and get an Aquero plus the proper accessories, or simple with something like a fan controller that does temps as well, or something like the Phyoba temperature sensors if you can find them.
In the past I plugged BP temp sensors into a Skythe Kaze Master to read temps.

The Aquaero VF, I wanted first bit is usually out of stock on a lot of sites + I don't care to order from Europe (maybe only option). Also the flow sensor would be a great addition also but I have yet to see that sold in the states.
