So Im going get either two of these http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820167025 or this one http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820167023...
Here's the question???
What would better running the two 40g in raid 0 or just the 80g for the OS and associated files only???

I'm gonna guess this is going in the "Divorced" build so i'd say go for the 2 40g in raid 0
RAID 0. Also, costs less.

I really don't know which I would choose.
40gb RAID 0:
- Slightly faster in some cases
- Cheaper
- Loses TRIM support, but still has internal garbage collection
- Can change to JBOD if you don't like RAID

I was reading about no TRIM support for arrays....You say it still has internal garbage collection, what would that be? This will be my 1st ssd purchase so Im a noob....

There is no garbage collection firmware for Intel drives. If you want to run RAID, go with a Samsung or Indilinx based drive that has garbage collection.
