It appears Rico has finally decided to get away from straight copper topped blocks.

I have my reservations as to the 'quality' of the finished surfaces, knowing the inconsistencies I've seen on over 80+ HK 3.0 CU blocks.

They will be riddled with machine marks and only have a 'yellowy' nickel plating, but for those who have never seen QUALITY plating you won't know the difference...

I don't read German, but it appears that Rico is holding a GERMAN poll to see which versions he will make???

The white looks like ASS, imho...

I don't like any of those. lol

Take the nickel + stainless top in the first pic and put the black powdercoated mounting wings on it and then we're talking.

Red's right though, can't beat the nickel finish on the blocks he puts out. I have one and it's :crack:

The white versions are already available in some german shops ! :)

I pers. like the nickel and full black version most.

Is that black topped one made of Acetal or is it copper coated with something along the lines of Bitspower's new line of matte black products? IF it is, then that's what I like the looks of the best...

nice. I spray painted one of mine black everywhere save the metal H shaped piece which is white. got another one from bigslappy which will get the inverse...

black/black and black/chrome are fine looking. white acetal should get black trim not chrome IMO...

first, Bundy you need to let some air out of that swollen head of yours bro. I learned of these blocks via e-mail at 12:13AM (CST) on 3 February 2010, you posted your thread in the 'land of cockscukers' at 3PM (CST) on 3 February 2010. I'm not real good at math but I'd say that I saw those blocks about 15 hours before you posted your thread;)

I fail to understand how some people seem to think they are the only ones in the know???

There are lots of things I'm informed of, months before they are released to the public, but I know how to keep my mouth shut. A little food for thought.

As for the finshes, I like the idea of black, but that finish from Rico in your picks looks like shit to me. Spend a couple of extra $$$ and get rid of those tool marks:rofl:

I like the black on nickel, I was planning on doing that to my chromed killer from sidewinders. Would look sweet with black bp comps

Look at Bundy's pic of the 'factory plating' from Watercool (Rico)... The machine marks are horrendous on both blocks...

What a fucking joke those blocks are (no offense to you Bundy as it's not your work)...:rofl:

Loving the nickel and black one. Just wish they had the "Heatkiller Rev3.0" laser etched. It would make the whole thing look so much nicer.

I have to agree with this; it's hard to see the machine marks in those pictures, but given that mine is marked in the same way, I can spot it on both of those blocks.

Those machine marks on the top are one of my biggest problems with this block; I paid for a premium product and when I opened the box, It seemed to me that Watercool.de decided that they didn't want to put in the effort to truly make it a premium product....
