Frozen cpu marked em down to $199 and with the 10% coupons, it's $180 or so.
What I like is that it has a 10 piece led controller, that let's you wire all your led's to it without a resistor (it has resistor/brightness control built in)

It has 6 temp sensor output instead of 4.
4 fan controller at 12watts each (48 watt total) (should be enough for 16 yate loons)
Also, it works with both analog and digital fans..
It has similar software to the aquero.. but only 1 option for a flow sensor :(

Would love to hack the thing and put in a FUFUFUFUFUFUFUFU flow sensor (the new ultra flow kind)

It's pretty sweet.

A bit pricey, but it does a lot.

It is, I know.
The other option is aquero lt, but thats out of stock at sharka.
Or aquero full version, but it's pricey and doesn't have the led feature or as robust fan controller

You can order the AquaComputer products directly from AquaComputer. Send Sven an email request for quotation @ info@aqua-computer.de FYI, Gary @ SidewinderComputers (www.sidewindercomputers.com) will have the Aquaero (w/Blue LCD Display) in stock shortly.

I have the following:
Aqua Computer
(1) Aquaero VFD (red filter)
(1) Aquaero LT (waiting on VFD Display to be shipped)
(1) MultiSwitch (waiting to be shipped)
mCubed
(1) BigNG
(1) MiniNG
(6) FanAmps
I would recommend the mCubed BigNG and FanAmps if you are wanting to have an automatic control over your radiator fans and you have triple rads. As the Aquaero does not work well (at all) with the FanAmps.

Thats funny, I actually talked to gary before I saw this thread.
RRR, any idea what the diff is between the standard aquero lcd and the vfd?
There is like a $40 difference.

Well, they are two different knids of displays...

VFD - Color can be changed with a simple plastic filter, wider horizontal/vertical viewing angle, easier on the eyes and more legible.

LCD - Brighter, stuck with whatever color display you purchase, less of a legible viewing angle and a little more strain to see.

I have a red/black/nickel requirement for my build, so the choice was easy. I still would rather have the VFD display anyway.

R3.... Are you going to use both the Auearo and the BigNG in your build?

Will the Aquaero display the info of the fans and temperature sensors connected to the BigNG?

No.

The Aquaero will be used for measuring temps on components outside of my loops (still contemplating measuring loop temps for redundancy). I'll also have a Aqua-Computer Multiswitch for controling the CCFL and LED lights.

The bigNG / miniNG / fanamps will be used for monitoring the loop temps, controlling (18) San Ace H1011 fans and a single MCP355 pump.

Damn, I wonder if those crystalfontz displays would be able to do it since its data coming straight from the PC, and the USB version could also plug straight into the BigNG to display data I would think since it has a USB header on it.

Call crystal fontz and ask for the hardware guy.
I can't tell you how cool he is. We ended up talking computers for 20mins.
The watercooling market for crystal fontz makes up like 1% of their profit, so they don't hear from us very often.. most of the time these are thrown onto servers in a dark room where nobody goes.

Dang that blows my plan out of the water I had planned on getting the LT aquaero and putting the fan amps on to control my rad fans...guess I'll have to look at the BigNG then...

VFD - Color can be changed with a simple plastic filter, wider horizontal/vertical viewing angle, easier on the eyes and more legible.

Another fact to know is that VFD is more robust whereas the LCD can be subject to dead pixels/rows/columns. I had a LCD panel before which now have several rows totally gone but it might also be due to cheap manufacturing (It's a VLSys L.I.S2 Blue Eye).

Yeah I was more than a little disappointed after buying an Aquaero VFD and Aquaero LT, then finding out the hard way that the mcubed fanamps don't mate well with the Aquaero. :crying:

Hit up GARY @ SidewinderComputers (http://www.sidewindercomputers.com), he has a limited supply of BigNG's in stock, they just aren't posted on his website. He is a pleasure to deal with.:D

I went ahead and ordered a VFD display (w/red filter) for my Aquaero LT. I plan on using it in my Son's upcoming build. :D

Big NG controls everything, and it has a USB header so it will work with any USB bay display

But i've heard the support for the BigNG is kinda lacking....Plus I would have to buy some many extensions to get it to do everything that I would want it to..blah!

RedRaider

The newest version of everest supports the bigNG...

The original reason I went with the Aquaero, was due to their continued support. I knew the Aquaero would be unable to handle the load of my fans, so I bought the fanamps. Then found out the fanamps don't jive with the Aquaero.

Oh well, live and learn.

FYI, almost everyone who has had the bigNG seems to be happy with it...:D

Yeah thats another thing I LOVE Everest..to the point where I have Aquaero's SDK trying to figure out someway to making the two play together...Will have to look into the bigNG and see what it can do....

I bought my BigNG after reading this thread and a few others, I've been trying to find a solution to my fan problem for a long time, and the BigNG fit the bill perfectly. While the temps wont be displayed on the front of the case for now, who cares?

I might have a solution for you...:hmm:

Would the color green bother you??
