So I've been doing some reading on keyboards lately (seeing as I want to get a new one) and came across some interesting readings about mechanical keyboards. You might remember like the older ones that have the feedback and click noises.
Well basically (for those that don't kno), all other keyboards (Logitech, Razer etc.) all use shitty rubber dome switches where a dome is pushed down to make a contact and turn on the switch. Mechanical switches have a physical spring switch instead that overall provides a better typing experience. Depending on which type you get, they have various differences on feel (tactility) and click noise.
Here are some readings for clarity and examples:
hothardware.com (http://hothardware.com/cs/blogs/mrtg/archive/2009/03/08/mechanical-key-switch-keyboards-demystified.aspx)
overclock.net (http://www.overclock.net/computer-peripherals/491752-mechanical-keyboard-guide.html)
geekhack.org (http://geekhack.org/) (great community site for stuff)
Just wondering what your guys opinions were on them.
Anyone here have any experience/use one?
