Since there are a few MM fans here, maybe you guys can help me out. I'm trying to come up with something that looks good for the fan grills on my UFO-CYO (Horizon with Duality Front). I've googled MM builds, but still searching for something besides the basic fan grill. For me, this is the weak link in the otherwise perfect Mountain Mods case. Also, having Thermochill fan spacing limits some of the rad grills that might otherwise work.

Looking forward to your ideas.

I wanted a filter, due to the fact I prefer pulling outside air in through the rads.

I choose these...120mm black aluminum fan filter (http://www.mountainmods.com/120mm-black-aluminum-fan-filter-p-133.html)

Heres what I did on the front of Formal Black, I think it looks great personally:

Cutless....

What is the filter material?

Why don't the grills fit right?

Thanks for the quick feedback. Yep, I have some of those filters ... they just look a bit "unfinished" as is.

Cutlass ... that's the look I'm going for, but I believe you've got the regular fan spacing in Formal Black. Not as many rad grill options available for the Thermochill spacing. I've got a couple of these:

iandh thermochill radgrills (http://www.petrastechshop.com/iastthpabl.html)

They might work, with the proper mesh behind them...

Hi Shazza. I use these:

They work really well for me for two reasons:

1) They trap a lot of dust (my house is very dusty)
2) They can be removed without dismounting the rad for easy cleaning

hmmnnn ... those look quite nice with the mirror black finish. Wonder what they'd look like against the black anodized panel?

Well, they are available in clear plastic as well, I believe. Maybe some other colours as well, but those are the two I've seen over at PPCs.

Copper Mesh, 40x40, adds about 3db, and looks awesome, restricts flow by ~9%

They dont fit right because I dont have a laser cutter to cut them and they look sort of "industrial" like that I thought it looked good. Also because I make the baby jesus cry and this was his way of getting his revenge.

Actually, these grills only come with a pilot hole drilled in them, I had to drill out the holes for my uses, and they come with instructions and a template for drilling out the holes to both thermochill and standard sizes right on the package.

Here's a closeup of the look:

The copper mesh is from McMaster, 40x40 copper mesh, part number 9224T534 (24"x24")

If you are going to use this mesh you will need to seal it or it will tarnish/oxidize. The best product I have found is from Everbrite coatings, its called Protecta-Clear. You can go on their website and order it at www.EverbriteCoatings.com. Zoe handles all of their sales, shes very nice, if you talk to her, tell her Stephen sent you.
