Nice stuff, come in acrylic?

BTW, I'm gonna dispel some acrylic myths tomorrow, hopefully with video...

Got 3 D4s to retop.

I'll probably make one myself...

Any word on the X-Res? I'm not sure if I read that it was going to be remodeled too or if it's just wishful thinking...

Damn...that looks nice.

My V1 is going to have to suffice in my build. There's always something new around the corner!

Apparently distilled water is not OK for that series of manometers, even though I called and explained what I was doing and they said it would be fine. They said my warranty was voided and would be $200 to fix it.

I'll be getting the Dywer 490 this time, its a hydronic manometer.

Nice! They told you it was fine to do then after you did & it messed up they voided the warranty? How's that work! lol

Oh, that really sucks. At least, the 490 series look nice and I hope it works great. I checked www.dwyer-inst.com and the others mentionned "Air and compatible gases." in the specifications excepted the 490 series, which clearly outline "Compatible gases & liquids." which is compatible with 316L SS.

Someone at Dwyer seems to have a brain fart when he confirmed it's ok...

Yup, the 490 series is the ticket.

BTW, if you get Ethan from Dwyer on the phone, hang-up and dial again.

I like the D5 tops but I just dremel the stock top and G1/4 it by hand, cheaper I guess not as cool though.

Not as efficient either ;) the new tops are very efficient and create less pump noise because of it

it might help a d4 pump though...

could somebody please dispell some myth for me? Is the D5 > DDC 3.2?

Baleful

What do you mean Cutless? The DDC + top has more pressure than the D5, but the D5 has more flow.

Both are solid pumps, I've owned several DDC's and several D5's. One thing i've noticed is that the DDC+Top is much better for restrictive loops.

the d5 has more flow..if you don't have a waterblock...hahahahhahhah

but when you have a waterblock...it totally becomes gay...

355+ek or xspc top anyday

just so long as you don't kill that ddc3.2...

ddc pump > D5, no matter how much you bling it, or change the top (copy of ddc top adapted for d5)
