Anybody have this working? Got my disk today but of course netflix is locking it down to U.S. IPs only. Probably going to setup a point to point VPN and get around this once for all. How's it working for everyone else?

Netflix streaming works very well for me, but I'm EC-US with a fiber-optic connection...

So you're using the PS3 client? Works fine on PC with me as long as i'm connect through a U.S. IP.

PS3? WTF? I don't have that crap..... :bird:

I've used their streaming service on my X58 Desktop, my crappy Mac Mini, and my XBOX. :crack:

Well you're in the PS3 forum, it was what I was specifically asking about. :fight17: Hence the, "I received my disk today." You don't need a disk for PC clients.

Ah, sorry...

I don't generally look at what forum threads are in -- I just reply to "recent threads."

I honestly can't say how well netflix streaming works on PS3, but I can't image it being worse than on a PC or XBOX.

One thing that kinda does piss me off about Netflix streaming though is how some serialized content (especially TV shows) have some episodes that are ONLY available on disk...

I'm planning on trying it out.

I've been streaming on xbox since the day it was available:crack:

Yeah, xbox streaming worked great when I was in the states, no dice here though. I was hoping the fact that the PS3 required a disk would get around the IP constraints but apparently not. So I'm stuck using a HTPC if I want to stream it seems...

PS3 is gay for requiring a disc to stream Netflix..:fag:

Didn't realize what you guys were talking about until I went to try and stream Netflix. I've ordered the disc though:bird:

do you have to insert the disc each time you want to watch Netflix??

On XBOX LIVE, all we had to do was sign on and get an update:up:

I think they said there will be a firmware update next year to get rid of the disk issue...I think I read it somewhere from RRbot.....I am waiting on that since I don't see the need to actually stream off a my ps3 as my internet sucks alot and I have a comp hooked up to the tv atm.

That's my understanding as well. Basically either Sony has a really long leadtime on firmware updates, or they're not putting a high priority on this (which is strange given how big a selling point it should be).

All the more reason to hate Sony -- in my experience every one of their products I have used had at least one cripplingly stupid design flaw....

I stream NetFlix on my SexBox all the time:crack:

I do it without having to load a disc into it as well:moon:

Supposed to be because of an xbox exclusive with netflix that the PS3 has to use a disk for the time being. As soon as it's up, then they'll have it installed. Either way, it doesn't work outside of the U.S. which sucks. Especially when it takes a week to get movies out to you.

Holy Crap...

NetFlix streams much faster and in higher quality than on XBOX LIVE...:crack:

Wait a minute... Hold up...

GayStation 3 is now lagging on the GayStation Network streaming NetFlix...
