the usual questions:

what case is it going in?
what purpose is this PC for?
do you need the extra PCI/e/1/*** slots?

if nothing else, the Gene would save you some $... maybe for some dominators or higher i7 model...

RIIE is a stellar board, one of the best for overclocking, its little brother is a solid performer so it really boils down to what fits your needs

yeah i know
i whould probebly not upgrade to 3GPU's
but i might use the dual Ethernet to hook up some hardware in my room to the internet
and i think the seperat sound card looks awsome but its not a must

better choice of blocks for the R2E.... so if it fits, no need to go micro

Or you could get an EVGA board.....

evga boards arent really for xfire

I doubt there's any difference in the xfire support provided by evga than any other brand. You have anything to back that up?

EVGA X58 Classified 4-way SLI all the way! Asus can kiss my :moon:. Besides 24/7/365 lifetime technical support how can you beat that!

i regret it soooo hard that i could not wait to save up 200€ more and to get a I7 instead of this AMD

i am gone replace the AMD whit a intel CPU in a half year or so
first i need to get a newyears gift for my GF :D and i need a new mouse and i need liquid for my GPU's fast
so thats more of priority

the amd works its oke but not what i am aiming for :)

rampage ii extreme is a lousy board
the p6t deluxe voltages and clocking dram performance is much better

so is the rampage ii gene.

rampage ii extreme .. the whole qpi dram card is just silly
and causes a lot of heatdump on the nb heatsinks.
if ure going this route advice watercool the damn thing.

btw the three r2e that i had..
the worst board i ever had for 1366
lucky noobies love them and got to sell it back at almost the price i bought.
the rtl's , mem skews are a mess
