So when the 28th of Jan? Also can you tell if rad will fit inside a Silverstone TJ07 case at the bottom? Like pictured below? I assume I would have to move the PSU somehow.. And what fans are you planning on using with it?

Any new reviews on this Monsta rad yet? I know there is one out there but I will be putting together a TJ07 build soon and I am wondering if this would fit in the bottom along with the PSU? Or maybe I would be better off with Swiftech 220 & 320 stackable build? Thanks Also I see it is for sale at performancepcs (http://www.performance-pcs.com/catalog/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=25382) now..

The owner of Performance PC's. He's dealt most of us a rather losing hand when it comes to ordering from him. I know myself and Red would rather pay 20% more than put money in his pocket. He just has poor business practices and is just out for a buck. He's screwed over or tried to screw over almost all of the higher-ups here as far as I know.

Err a lot of people support PPCs. My ONE order went well but in this thread at XS we posted our international order horror stories and WOW PPC came up quite a bit. Then you have poor Turtletax [something like that - Can] who ordered a DDC top and got a D5 top. He alo received a cracked Anti Cyclone and had one shipment go missing [different address on the parcel than on the invoice]. Twwen2 [Aus] had the old primochill tubing sent to him but managed to sort it out at no expense to him.

I don't like them. I also noticed that when I first added the MoRa to cart and checked shipping it said ~160. Now it says ~90. How the hell does that work? Oh it doesn't.

I hate that shop.

I have never really dealt with them, but i would much rather support gary if i can

any of you guys have any bad horror stories of frozencpu? I mainly order from frozen cpu and sidewinder. Frozencpu is much more expensive but they haven't fucked up any of my orders and the phone is always answered when I call.

I have one personal horror story from PPC. about 6 3M adhesive thermal squares gets added to my cart somehow because I was charged and it was shown on my invoice. WTF! Who fuckin' buys 3M adhesive thermal squares?? Do any of you guys? I fuckin don't. I suppose you can say he pocketed 15 bucks from me because I wasn't gonna ship the damn adhesive CPU thermal tape back and get a 20% or more restocking fee.

the only issue i have ever had with frozencpu.com is they short changed me 2 zip tyes.. so i emailed mark and he sent me an extra 10.

not exactly a horror story:)

I've used FrozenCPU many times,
Once I ordered 6xUltra Kaze 120mm and 12xMini Kaze 40mm fans. They got the order backwards.

I complained and they told me to keep the extra 120s and they promptly sent the missing 40's.

They are a great shop - but the prices aren't the best. For Canadian buyers -like me- they will only ship via UPS so you can add about 50% to the cost right off the bat for brokerage/duty/and shipping fees.

BigMyke
04-03-2009, 09:59 PM
you bought zipties individually? I've got a container of 200 black zipties with an assortment of 4'' and 8'' for 7 bucks over at a hardware store. FrozenCPU's zipties must be 1337.

I bought 2 12" 8-pin and a 12'' 24-pin extenions for the classified motherboard from frozencpu and the picture shows that they aren't sleeved and it gives u the option to have them sleeve for an extra cost. They shipped all 3 cables out sleeved w/o an additional cost.

umm they offer usps Canada :). i am about to order from them only because they don't have a product that can't be bought in Canada. i am worried now about the product coming and if I will have to pay much in taxes. I asked for it to be marked as a gift. i may call them instead.

EDIT: nmv you said frozen cpu, I 'ment PPC. I really want to order from somewhere else but no one else has what I need all at one place and I don't want to buy from separate companies.

Here we have many flames against a company, Performance PCs, that probably has an excellent track record. However, based on the theory that "the squeaky wheel gets the grease", a few folks that experienced problems but love to rant present a series of posts that, taken at face value, would make one think that the normal state of affairs with Performance PCs is that they have crappy customer service, high prices, a crappy selection and an overall rip off mentality.
Fair enough, rant away.
Lets hear from those of you who have had nothing but good service purchasing their reasonably priced products from their extensive inventory. There are probably a lot more of us than those who had a bad experience.
I order from PPC often! It is always a good experience! And I AM CANADIAN!

Have you checked PPC's ResellerRatings lately...

Oh my gosh, we aren't the only one's who have had shitty experiences with that crap company...:2up:

Capt Proton

Lifetime rating, 9.46 out of 10. Last six months 7.08 out of 10. All right, there has been a drop recently. That could be a number of things though. I am sure that they make mistakes. It happened to me once. The problem was fixed immediately. Anyway, a lifetime rating of 9.46 out of 10 means something to me.

Wow, it's gone up recently. When I was ordering parts for my rig at the end of last year, they were down to the low 5s. Made me completely skip buying from them.

I'm seeing some very appaling and disturbing stories about PPC's right now.
Especially by how rude and disgusting they act towards their customers when all they want is a refund for defective items etc.
I'm quite shocked.
I'm glad overclockers and scan aren't like that.

I have used PPCs alot, never a problem.
But, lately I woke up and was steered over to Sidewinder.........prices are outrageously better, but the inventory isn't as extensive as PPCs.

Frozen is quite good and is just about an hour away from me, if I need something quick, that's where I go, but they are a good bit more expensive.

Holy shit, that radiator could fit on my car!!! (any probably cool it better)

HOLY CRAP Bundy... LOVE the white!!

The only reason they have a bit 'more in stock' is because they drop ship items. So usually a lot of stuff they have over there really isn't in stock but ready to order then ship to you....
Personally I don't like that.
Thats why I like Sidewinders and Petra's, if they have something in stock, they show it, if they don't, they tell you.
Thats how good business rolls.
